well, i dont know why would they bother retinizing it, if it were.pdxindy wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 4:29 pmEven though it is still there... seems like it has been supplanted
New Drum Synth is great - but it's not ultrabeat replacement really, the way you can easily layer synth + samples in ultrabeat is pretty unique.

Also, why would you want Bounce In Place to make 24-bit audio files if you DON’T have 24-bit recording enabled??

CMD+R on the app storeForgotten wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 4:38 pm That's odd, I don't show an update being available. Anyone else noticed that? I assume it's just a delay, so I'll check again later.

didn't show up for me in the 'updates' tab so i went to the logic product page in the app store and updated from there no problem. i think i clicked on the buy button and it went to 'update'.Forgotten wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 4:38 pm That's odd, I don't show an update being available. OMG. The tempo map bugs are FINALLY vanquished! Ever since 10.2, tempo curve copy-and-paste has been broken. It would convert curves to steps on your entire tempo map if you tried to copy a section and paste it somewhere else.
They have also fixed automation editing (at least with the tempo map). Before it was ridiculously hard to select a point or handle if you had two of them close together (say 5-10 pixels apart). Even if you would click right on the point or handle, it would do a drag-select instead of move unless you zoomed way in.
Now let's hope the other pain points are fixed, like the tendency for the mouse cursor to stop changing so you have no idea if you are looping or extending a clip, or selecting a range.

Yeah, the workaround was to option-drag. Total PITA.Ploki wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 4:45 pmthere was a workaround for that... but it was a pain in the ass. glad to see it fixed.teilo wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 4:42 pm OMG. Looks like AU scans are done in a single process now, without all those ridiculous tasks popping up in the dock and stealing focus.
EDIT: Nope. Still there.

WAIT. MOTHERFUCKING WAIT. Did Apple kill all of the track icons, those beautiful, easily distinguished and readable track icons... and replace them with f**king FLAT SINGLE LINE BULLSHIT????

Drum Machine Designer (re-designed)... you can put anything you want on a pad, including plugins, samples, drum synth. You can set the midi note per pad so it is easy to layer sounds.Ploki wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 4:35 pmwell, i dont know why would they bother retinizing it, if it were.pdxindy wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 4:29 pmEven though it is still there... seems like it has been supplanted

that i saw, and i love it. I was hoping for an "empty" kit ever since DMD was introduced - i didn't use it because of thatpdxindy wrote: Tue May 12, 2020 5:00 pm

With the new quick-sampler, which means you can embed all samples in the project file now (No more missing samples. yes.) i'm retiring my other drum samplers
