nope... quite solid here, except one thing:
some DMD presets seems to crash on load. not an issue since i don't use them at all, but this is the only repeatable crash i could make on my system

O.k. 2 things i still really miss. Folders inside folders inside folders etc.
But if i just have one layer of stacked tracks i would like to have midi FX channel in the summed track. Nope. So i still have to add it all in the sub-tracks, doh‘.
But maybe next time.

yeah. and while the new DMD is GREAT, it's essentially a track stack - that you can't nest with other tracks

I had a few things at first, a weird glitch where Logic acted like I was using the key command for the Inspector, channel strips every half second, and rapidly closed then opened them. I deleted my Logic preferences and it went away. At one point it got stuck scrolled to the 10,000 whatever measure, had to close and open. I jumped from 8 to X though, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if deleting preferences solves any future quirks like that. It doesn't like FM8, pretty sure it's the latest version..

Freestyles (device wrapper) always was a must-have in Logic if u need Ableton or Bitwig like Instrument container has the same macroing feature (multi-mapping with differently adjustable ranges, MIDI learning etc. can emmit CC values too)

nothing has been changed with 10.5 summed track is still totally useless to me too

Be a moralist all you want, nothing wrong with that. Just don't belittle people by taking their words out of context so you can feel good about calling them out as naive corporate shills, when that person simply showed some enthusiasm.

Looks like a huge update. Especially the sampler upgrade, the old one was tricky to use, for UI reasons. Might check it out again..

I like the flat look. And I like the look of Sampler, Alchemy, Quick Sampler, and so on. I wish they'd update the other instruments for a consistent look. ES-2 looks like something that escaped from the Amiga and ended up on the USS Enterprise. Actually, skip that. It looks like the USS Enterprise.

But it's a massive update and one that makes me want to spend hours playing around. If only I had the time...

Anyone grabbed samples from the Billie Eilish vocal tracks to use as lead instruments yet?

It is not useless to me but yeah i would love to have more layers inside layers.
Using something like Unify works also around this but it would be nice if Logic offers this. This is the one thing where Logic fails (and even some iOS DAWs offer this option).

btw. MIDI can't be routed to different tracks in the looper using the MIDI environment ... the devil is in the details

Yes, some other DAWs still have some more powerful and better workflows in some areas for sure but still Logic is 99% there for my needs. That is enough for what i do

Logic Pro 10.5 is out!
