If there is something really annoying in virtual world,it's announcing that something is free,you go to the site and...there is no download button anywhere,instead sign up here,sign up there so on.
If announce and give something for free these days,must be downloadable in seconds,personal opinion.Cheers

Instead of thumb down i expect some opinion,but what i know :)There is actually even more annoying stuff,like take super expensive software for free,but use it limited time,then buy it,if like it,how is this free?It's demo.Sad story.

Depends what it is, if they want you to create accounts or go through a checkout for some new unheard free plug... I wouldn't bother. If it's something known set free then I probably would (and have, Quadravox for instance).

I'm ok with giving my trash email address to someone, and receiving a possibly cool vst against it. If it's really cool and I consider buying more stuff, I change the email to a real/proper one.

Yeah, not a big deal really. I do the same - have a trash email address that gets all these things.

Ok but it's still annoying - what if you don't have account,if like freebie you download,you gonna make one,so isn't forcing users somehow?
In another topic was blamed that i am forcing people or something,which make me thing about term 'free' and hour ago visit few sites,which was announced to release 'free' stuff and voila,it wasn't accessible unless you make account...nevermind,just emotional started topic.
People need positive emotions now

That's why upload few stuff for free,if your face isn't totally frozen cause 2020 media psychosis,download some freebie,play some music and bring you good mood and smile or if find it helpful make your first milion in your music carreer from it.
Music is all about people's smile.
At lease for me:)
