Funny indeed. No that is not the name for sure.
FWIW for those who do not know Oberhausen is a city here in Germany.
2 years ago i spent 2 weeks in Bottrop which is directly in the east of Oberhausen.
That's in the so called "Ruhrpott" where several cities are so close that you can not actually see the borders of the different cities when watching with a satellite from space.

I can't resist, I must spill the beans about the name.
It's OB-Wan Kenobi. And the force is strong with it.

FWIW the name "Oberheim" when split into "Ober" and "heim" actually consists of the 2 german words for "Upper" and "home". So a direct translation of Oberheim would be "Upperhome".
An "Ober" here is also the name for a male person serving food in a restaurant, usually in higher priced restaurants. In that case "Oberheim" would mean "Waiterhome".
"o.b." is a german brand for tampons (which was taken over by Johnson & Johnson) and means "ohne Binde" (= without sanitary towel).

Sanitary towel, sounds huge, I think those things are called pads, which might build a bridge to a name for the synthIngonator wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 4:01 pm FWIW the name "Oberheim" when split into "Ober" and "heim" actually consists of the 2 german words for "Upper" and "home". Since the name Legend was no pun or anything on the name Minimoog, I suppose it is rather unlikely we will guess the name for the Oberheim.
