it's been my default sample-player for a long time (am in logic X, and generally have no use for the EXS24). simple, logical. there are 2 drum soundsets available for it that are pretty amazing too...

I'd like to see that. Doesn't have to be amazing high quality like Falcon or Kontakt. Something vintage like Tal Sampler would be cool too. Or both would be even better.

Has anyone else noticed a large amount of aliasing when shifting/stretching samples across the notes? I thought I was just hearing things until I did a spectral analysis and found that it aliases similar to Logic’s exs24.

For those who may have missed it, Nuance is currently on sale now as part of our Summer Sale.

It's nice that Nuance supports velocity layers but sample zones need a velocity cross fade from one velocity range to the next. Even when samples overlap velocity ranges, the change at the overlap is too abrupt. I'm also surprised there is no way to modulate filter resonance with the internal modulation sources - though you can via MIDI CC.
Honestly - if I could take the best ideas from Nuance and the best from DiscDSP's Bliss, I'd have one heck of a sampler. I've been a Bliss user for a while and it has the edge in terms of sample editing, effects and much of it's interface. Nuance has much easier mapping of samples, 2 more envelopes and an extra LFO. Neither do time stretching though I feel I can get more mileage out of fewer samples with Bliss due to it's multi-effects. Both programs are very capable.
