Just bought the latest "revamped" Future Music magazine (much improved - I didn't like it before but this issue's quite good!) and I was amused to find that they do "Charts" for various products based on reviews over the previous 15 months :lol:

The currecnt sequencer chart is as follows:

Straight in at number 1

1 Live 4 (47/50)

2= Logic 6 (45)
Sonar 3 (45)

4 Cubase SX2 (43)

5 Samplitude (45 - yep, they can't add up!)

6 Digital Performer (42)

7 Making Waves (yep, really!) (39)

8 Nuendo (37)

They also include new reviews of SX3 and Sonar 4. Once they are added to the chart next month, and assuming they add up the scores correctly :wink: the new chart will become:

1 Live 4 (47)

2= Logic 6 (45)
Samplitude 7 (45)

4= Digital Performer (42)
Sonar 4 (42)
Cubase SX3 (42)

7 Making Waves (yep, really!) (39)
8 Nuendo (37)

Just a bit of fun! :wink:

No, based on reviews (as I said :P )

Worked out as follows:

Stability (mark out of 10)
Value for Money (mark out of 10)
Ease of Use (mark out of 10)
Versatility (mark out of 10)
Quality of Results (mark out of 10)

Total mark out of 50.

For the record I like FM least of the music tech magazines in the UK, although the redsigned issue looks better (i.e. not just a face-lift, but a tummy tuck, too!)

Like I said, just a bit of fun!
