How would you go about sampling (or synthesizing) a furious gnashing of teeth?

Hello nice KVR musicians

I'm looking to create a sound which suggests a convincing group 'gnashing of teeth' for a track that I am making.
(Also, with delay, it would be a wicked dub effect!).

However, my teeth are quite sensitive and so I don't want to be grinding them painfully if I can avoid it...

I was wondering whether it's the sort of sound that might be better imagined via a synthesizer (for example some machinery noise like patch might get close?)  rather than just recording a load of angry people gnashing their teeth together (even if I could find willing participants and recording was possible!).

So I thought that I would throw the question out to you fine and creative musicians:
How would you recreate a furious gnashing of teeth (preferably as a convincing group effect) ?

Many thanks :D

grinding smooth rocks to mimic teeth ie act the sound with the rocks, slowed down, maybe light gating, probably convolved with dogs snarling

maybe - developing sounds like this is a creative exercise that requires a bit of interaction with the material

Thank you - that's a very nice idea :)
