Just installed Studio One 4 demo to test it and it crashed almost at once. Was that just a fluke or is it not stabile?

Considering swapping over to Studio One cause the handling of the chord track seems a lot better than Cubase.

Are you on Mac OS X or on Windows?

I concur.

Yeah, me too. Even though I don't use crazy stuff with it (barely scratching the surface...).

It is more problematic on Mac where Cubase is more stable.
New installs in general cause crash due to plugin scans etc. Should be fine after a couple of starts. If not it is probably a bad behaving plugin that did not make the black list.

S1 is weird on Mac. Sometimes is rock solid and sometimes for no apparent reason it starts crashing. One bug that has been there since at least version 2 is S1 crashing when you exit the application. Everything saves, you can work on the song for hours, have multiple project open. Quit out of S1 for the day then bang it crashes. It can be annoying on the Mac sometimes, but it's still more stable for me than Logic.

Try disabling option "Enable low latency monitoring for instruments"

I had major stutters and sound cracks with this option enabled.

No issues on Windows 7

I'm not going to say it's solid here, Win 7 solid, Win 10 I've experienced weird wipeouts to desktop I have to admit (No indicator with Windows 10 Reliability Monitor to indicate S1Pro though), but when ever someone asks how solid something is, I can't help but go back to my childhood, when this was played regularly by my elder siblings, now I feel old.. :-D

Rock Solid, Win 10 (Not up to date, v1803 iirc) the only crash I have had since I jumped on board back in 2015 when v3 was released was when I tried the new (at the time) Cakewalk LP Comp and EQ, crashed immediately on insertion, never tried them again.

The irony that the only crash I've had was caused by Cakewalk products was not lost on me
