What can be included in remix pack?

Hey guys, I hope you are all doing well and safe from the virus.

I recently got a track signed onto a label and they asked me for a remix pack along with the original song. However, I'm not quite clear what shall I include in that pack.

I'm certain that I should provide midi and stem files. But in terms of samples, can I include those from royalty-free sample packs I purchased, especially the vocals? I think most of the packs clearly state that I cannot redistribute the samples. Would that apply in this situation?

You really should talk to their lawyers. And "them" is both your label and the original publishers of your samples.
Or rather: get out of the conversation and let them arrange things.

Thanks. That sure is a fool proof solution, tho it’s also a bit of a hassle. I guess I will just send in the midi and stems for now and see if they want anything else.
