It's totally useless information for those of us who have no access to the beta. So kindly stfu about it and keep it in the Synapse thread, ta muchly.
Agree fully.

I just heard some sound demos and I liked the sound a lot (no comparison, no bias). Of course, I am not buying it right now and it is just a personal opinion. If anyone is invested in the Arturia system, there are two good reasons to buy OB-Xa V: you get a great sounding synth for a great price and you get a beautiful and user-friendly GUI and preset browser. :)

Three good reasons.....I like to use all the Arturia instruments in the Lab- it is a much easier way of working/layering/editing a wide range of instruments, less clutter, less windows...I think the Lab is very overlooked as a sound design tool and controller interface in its own right! OB-Xa is currently being added and will be ready in the Summer...sure to be some nice presets with OB-Xa layered with other Arturia synths and effects....

Didn't for me (I put it on my DAW PC and Laptop, neither rebooted)

Well, it happened in my laptop, but not in my desktop (which was in Windows 7, even). I guess it depends on some extra components (like Visual Basic libraries, or something like that) being installed, that require a system reboot. It certainly doesn't use to happen when installing Arturia stuff.

A couple of patches sent FL Studio's CPU meter over 50%, but FL is weird with CPU. Looking on task manager the actual hit was about 4%. Most patches seemed pretty reasonable on CPU.
which patches. cubase pro 10.5 (not the most "light" DAW, i don;t know the term right now.), tried some patches, nice "average load" usage.

V7 owners get it for $49. What more do you want?

I just tried something with the default init preset from Template in the browser. See if you get the same result. I used the standalone version on a PC with Windows 10.

Switch Unison on, set to Stereo, play one note over and over.
maybe about 3 notes a second. I get a kind of stuttering sound that shouldn't happen if I am just playing just one note repeatedly, and even happens when I turn up the buffer size to 512 samples. Same issue even when Poly is set to 16.

This is around the time that one could expect a new V collection. Anyone knows anything about that?

We only got one new instrument now. Typically a new V collection brings 3 new instruments to the table. Maybe Corona caused delays as in many 'industries' but coding software is something that can be done pretty well from home too with online sprint meetings after each sprint.
So can we expect a new V collection around summer? Better to wait and see.

Also, judging from the emulation of previous synths, my money is on the Synapse one, so I'd like to see that one first.

I don't get that issue, but a single held note will take around 30% CPU on Studio One with this setup (more if I increase the dropout protection).
