Auturia hadn’t made a OB-XA emulation yet.
It was perhaps there biggest omission from their collection. It’s entirely possible if not plausible this is a coincidence and not some malicious attack.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

Does it really matter much? Don't Arturia use more or less the same sound engine for all their emulations? 8)

True. Now we're waiting to judge Synapse attempt.

Poor old Disco DSP, no one seemed to give a monkeys that they were there first with the OP-X emulation and that Synapse are ripping them off ;-0)

Definitely a game changer!
Game Changer? How is this different to the Disco DSP OP-X emulation with the Continuous blendable multimode filter in 12 dB mode and 4 pole in 24 dB

DiscoDSP OB-Xd (which is a very nice synth indeed and one of the best free synths) and Sonicprojects OP-X Pro II are both based on a SEM design and not on Curtis chips like the OB-Xa. AFAIK OB-Xd which originally was created by 2Dat and not DiscoDSP is not a strict emulation of a specific hardware synth anyway while OP-X Pro is based on the OB-X (but with additional features in the plugin) which concerning the included circuits is a big difference compared to the OB-Xa/OB-8 synths.

At the end of the day I almost always end up using the LP filter, anyway 8)

Same for every developer. :) Just like any developer, they improved their stuff with the time though. What I always disliked about their plugins, though, is that the filters just don't behave like on the synths they model. Same with the OB-Xa, it's too tame and behaved at high resonance levels. That's also something which separates wheat from chaff for me, in every emulation. Alongside the way modulation works, and if it does audio rate modulation or not. If those two work similar to the original (not so concerned about the raw oscillator sound, because, that's no sorcery... envelopes matter as well), then it's a good emulation in most cases. At least as far as I can judge, not having the originals at home.

"Poor old Disco DSP" took the work of Datsounds and continued it. OBX-d was out a long time (2014) before DiscoDSP took it over......

Some of the patches i made with the plugin would not have been possible without using the Bandpass filter.

Personally i always liked analog Bandpass filters like e.g. in Waldorf Pulse 2 (the only hardware synth for which i made factory presets and did beta testing), Novation Bass Station 2, Synapse Audio The Legend, U-He Diva, Arturia SEM V2, Arturia Matrix-12 V2, Tone2 Saurus 2, Xils Lab Syn'X 2, Xils Lab Oxium and some more.

The Jupiter-8 could do a Bandpass by combining the LPF and HPF filters, same with the MS-20 (both synths included in Diva and also the Uhbie + Jupiter-6 filters with a decicated bandpass mode).

I know, I actually do have a few patches where I use the BP filter, but mostly sound gimmicks so to speak. I think I have more patches using the HP filter than the BP, but LP seems to be the most useful in most cases, like 95%.
