Thanks guys, didn't know, not a member of Gearslutz. In that case I feel a bit sorry for Richard. Even though I just bought the Arturia version (couldn't resist the €49), I will still buy and support Synapse Audio's OB-Xa. I'm sure it will be the better one anyway.

In theory, yes. But reality is a different thing. Because I can guarantee you, they won't be made the same way as everyone has their own skill at coding and style for that matter.

That's why some software sucks and some software is great.

£50.00 tops after which I am out.
you're out
:)
True at £150 I am out, Not sure if you heard yet but Arturia have just released a version of the OB and as luck would have it I can get it for $49.00 hehe.
No doubt the Sonic Syndicate one will be slightly better but not $100.00 better surely?

I don't know the original, so I will simply look which one sounds nicer to me :hihi: And which one is more CPU-efficient.

Which has nothing to do with the accuracy of the emulation, which is fine. Some people won't care and will, as you say, go with the one they think sounds better assuming price and availability isn't an issue.
