he prob didn't know about the Arturia one, and i know he's not gonna rush something out...
its really nobody's business, and affects nobody but Richard.

Somehow I suspect the figure will be way more than 50 lost sales.AnX wrote: Thu May 21, 2020 2:26 pm still don't see why are interested

It must have spooked Richard out a bit judging by the hastily knocked out preview he did on facebook.
Let me guess the facebook post was just a coincidental thing right?

When I was a student at Keele I got to play on a Fairlight that I was told had been used for some of the SFX used on the H2G2 records and also the plate smashes from Kate Bush's Babooshka.vurt wrote: Thu May 21, 2020 2:19 pmthe marvin the android comment.

But will Wagtunes make a Preset Bank for the Obsession the OB-XA V or Both?
These are the Real Questions.

Definitely not for both unless someday I upgrade my V Collection (Still on V6) and get OB-Xa V just because it's in the collection. Provided I don't get it before the sale ends if no word on Obsession by then.Spencer Maddox wrote: Thu May 21, 2020 2:46 pm But will Wagtunes make a Preset Bank for the Obsession the OB-XA V or Both?

Unpopular opinions
Probally I’m a neither.
Diva sounds basically the same as the OB if you program it right.
*shrug*

A big chunk of Arturia's customers are V collection owners who get the $49 offer. Unless there's a very generous Synapse intro offer it'll be in a completely different price category for all of these people. These are not "lost sales". However, for those who don't get that price, there is a potential for some lost sales.
But this makes the (highly questionable) assumption that they're so desperate to buy an OBXA emulation that they're unwilling to wait, beyond the Arturia intro offer period, and must act now! I've only noted one person, on this forum, expressing that view. Meanwhile others know full well there will be another Arturia offer at later time, and can wait..
OBXA V is also available to evaluate. It's a nice enough synth but, purely from an emulation standpoint, it's nothing more than ok. It's more what I'd have expected from Arturia a few years ago, rather than in 2020. It does not take things to a "next level". The filter code is plain disappointing and they've left significant room for others to implement audible improvements.
Synapse needn't (and shouldn't) rush a release before they're ready. Though, at this point, they probably should create some public audio examples which demonstrate areas like resonance detail - if they believe their emulation goes beyond others efforts, in a way which can be clearly shown to potential customers.
This would likely be enough for those, who care about a more authentic audio emulation, to wait for a Synapse release..

I agree in part. But (1) we really don't know when the next Arturia offer will be (probably not until Black Friday) and (2) we've gotten nothing from Synapse up to now in order to even think about holding off on Arturia's offer. At least give us something. A demo video or even audio would really be great. Something that will blow us away and make us go "Okay, this is worth waiting for" and not even think about Arturia's version.PAK wrote: Thu May 21, 2020 3:26 pm A big chunk of Arturia's customers are V collection owners who get the $49 offer. I tested Arturia and was not impressed, and the currency of my country was hit hard by the current situation, so I probably wont get any of them by now, but I know that at some point I will get the Arturia OB-Xa as part of some V-Collection upgrade, when I'm in a better financial situation.
But the one that get me real interested is Synapse Obsession. Great GUI and I know that it will sound better than Arturia. Will get it at some point, but not in the near future.
