Like the title says. I know someone who, for whatever reason, wants to do that.

What are some good, preferably free options, I guess for DAWs, etc.

Lining up beats, sequencing things directly, that stuff would be the ticket, right?

Not having an interface makes no difference to which DAW you use ... pick any that still supports a 32bit OS.

yeah, I wouldn't do it tho
spend another 100$ on a used previous-gen simple interface and lose ALL the struggle you're gonna have with latency trying to work without one

Yeah, it looked like too much work, lol.

I talked them into buying a used iPad - cheap and awesome for making music “ITB”.

Making music on a Windows XP laptop sans interface
