Damn, I checked for prices there earlier today, but couldn't find any. From what I can tell, the Tracker feature is worth the price of admission on its own. If you consider that single-instrument bass Kontakt libraries cost ~$100 each and don't have that kind of automatic backing track generation, the price seems fair.
Good thing they included what appear to be really good-sounding basses too.

For sound as of now I would go with MODO, more choice(that will undoubtedly change later), to me sounds better apples to apples, as you say UI is EZ, playability, well more to play with in EZ, MODO would be easier, not necessarily better, depends on your definition of what is better I guess. Good to own both

I guess my problem with MODO is not the sound, but that it's so cumbersome to program articulations that I don't end up using it. EZbass would solve this neatly, especially since I could play bass parts in on guitar and edit the MIDI afterwards! So MODO is going up for sale now to finance EZbassjinotsuh wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 6:43 am For sound as of now I would go with MODO, more choice(that will undoubtedly change later), to me sounds better apples to apples, as you say UI is EZ, playability, well more to play with in EZ, MODO would be easier, not necessarily better, depends on your definition of what is better I guess. I'm really interested in this one. However, I'm not convinced by the slap demo on Toontracks product page? How much can you change the tone of the slap bass articulation?

Got paid today so could finally buy this, downloaded and installed and tossed off a track while toying with how EZkeys and EZbass fit together.

being able to drag EZkeys chord progressions straight into EZbass and have it rejig its basslines accordingly is pretty powerful stuff

So I finally have a full band. I made this video together with Mr EZ Drummer, miss EZ Keys and my nephew EZ Bass.

The editor is such a pleasure to work with. Some DAW makers should take note.
This is turning out to be my favorite VI ever.

Has anyone who has bought this tried using its midi to control other bass libraries (Kontakt, Trilian, whatever...)? I would imagine some editing would be needed to get some of the articulations right, but can it be done at all? Does it have midi out, or can midi be dragged from the plugin to your DAW?
The included basses sound great, and I'm sure there will be additional ones for sale down the road, but a person might have a library they would like to use now (say, acoustic bass), or they may have a more esoteric library that may never be available from Toontrack.

The rest of the band is really riding his coattails. Bunch stiffs to be honest.

Unless your song has multiple time signatures, in which case, it is not fun nor EZ. Wish they had added the tempo and time signature tracks from Superior drummer. (yes it follows the tempo automatically, but never gets the time signature changes from the DAW).Vladislav_Gronk wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 1:09 am The editor is such a pleasure to work with. I've been through every video and every sound demo and..I can't hear the sound I use for bass- very simple, warm, no top end, sine-wave-like: basically a reggae sound, Aswad, can EZ Bass do this- all I hear is aggressive in the demo?
