1960's -- I was too young and the Beatles are too obvious

1970's -- David Bowie

1980's -- The Clash

1990's -- Massive Attack

2000's -- mostly crap so far, maybe VNV Nation

Honorable mentions -- Joy Division (Late 70's), Smiths (Late 80's), Underworld (late 90's)
And all life's fears
Can invade my ears
I can handle it

60s: I wasn't born, but I would have to say the Beatles
70s: ZZ Top
80s: Devo, but I mostly listened to Weird Al
90s: Stone Temple Pilots don't get enough credit
00s: Radiohead and I just discovered the brilliance of the Flaming Lips

60's = Rolling Stones
70's = Bob Marley
80's = The Smiths
90's = Radiohead
00's = Bit too early to tell but could be The Bees, The Zutons or Nada Surf.

60's - The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel

70's - KISS (That's right, KISS) Elton John, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin... Thanks for playing.

80's - The Cure and The Smiths and U2

90's - Nirvana and Radiohead

00's - Coldplay

10's - Embryo in a Halter Top (This is just a clever name for the new version of KISS where Peter and Ace are replaced by Ringo and Johnny Marr).
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

Hard to choose a single name for a decade, but

60s: Beatles, Doors, Serge Gainsbourg

70s: Kraftwerk, Eno, Neil Young & Crazy Horse

80s: Joy Division, Laurie Anderson

90s: Bjork, Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack

00s: The Strokes, Royksop (so far)

And some of the names from their early decades on (Eno, Laurie Anderson...) :D
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

I know it's all just list-making fun for a Friday, but I must admit it saddens me that so far I'm the only one to mention any hiphop acts for the past 20 years.

So close, yet still so far.
