As to the Dreadbox modules. I have the Ataxia modulation module. Dual modulator with 3 modes. I'm sure you have seen the spec. In use.. in ADSR mode the trigger input from either channel triggers BOTH channels..

even if you have a trigger in both?
my envelope all 4 trigger from 1.
or individually when plugged.

or you can trigger 3 from input 2
and so on...

Just been looking at a few modules as later this year I plan to start building a small modular drum setup 808/909 modules. I see that Tip Top Audio has these so I might get 1 or 2 modules per month. Seems they made new white modules for the 808/909 but the one I can only find the "909 Toms" module is in the old modules. Did they forget them in the new editions?
Probably an expensive way to build a drum rack but I'd like to do it anyways.

If I rack my modules how many "U" are the casings as Iv'e got a free 2x4u space here

Euro is 3U high, 84HP wide per row, for cases that fit in a 19" wide rack.

Yes... both inputs trigger both channels, they do not un_cascade in the way we're used to.

I also have intelliel dual ADSR... first channel gate input cascades to no 2 if no gate input on 2..


NOT the same with the Ataxia. I thought what a bummer until I started to play around and found some cool uses for it )))

No.. cos in the mod mode they trigger the channels independently and have another function in LFO mode..

Yeah, some do. If they dont, its often a module-to-wallwart arrangement for power, so you lose a few HP.

There's a lot of music stores now stock Eurorack kit, but you might get more options at one that specialises a bit more. The UK stores Ive dealt with are

Juno
Rub-A-Dub (also been to the shop in sunny Glesga, nice blokes)
Signal Sounds (also in Glesga, not been there)
Blickensynth
Postmodular

(Thonk mostly do kits, but they also do some built stuff for PSUs and cases)

For larger places, Ive also bought from Digital Village and Scan. (And Emis Music, who've been selling Doepfer for about 25 years, but they're retiring.)

Got a Mackie 1642 vlz4 coming from Juno tomorrow they’re very fast on delivery.. I’ve always wanted a modular drum set up tho.
Found a website called modular grid jeez that place is addictive looking through all them modules, so now I’m gonna start with a 19” rack case hopefully one with power. Not sure what HP means but wondering if I’d get bd,sd modules etc all in one row in a rack?

Sorry, not so up on analog drum modules. (Im generally in sample-playing module territory for percussion sounds)
Tip Top are a great brand in general, though, and pretty popular. The one drum module Ive noticed 'everyone' seems to have is the Iteratas Alter, but its digital.
Cant think offhand who else does analog drum modules. MFB used to do all their analog drum machine 'bits' as independent modules, dont know if they still do.

HP is just a measure of width. Technically, 1HP = 0.2 inches. MG is a great way to plan out what'll fit in a row/rack but yes it can be a significant cause of excessive acquisition. And/or excessive layout tweaking.

not sure how big drum modules are, or how many?
but just find them, add them, see what fits
