-as far as I know it has not one bug,
seems to be a meticulous build, u might like it
I'll re-familiarize myself with the UI- I have not loaded it for a while
Nice to see ongoing developments!

Yes! Our new version runs in the free Reaktor Player and has a completely redesigned and rebuilt UI along with many improvements, fixes, and greater accuracy.

Insidious is a great sounding emulaton , but I think it will have a hard time competing with the forthcoming plogue emulation .

Hmm...
Insidious 6581 (the Reactor ensemble version) is free.
Super Audio Boy (another single-system chip synth instrument from ISW) is free.
Free is less than $99.
Is ISW Insidiuous going to be offered for free?

Though we're not announcing price yet, I will say it is not free (sorry!) inSIDious will be powered by Reaktor Player, which doesn't cost anything for users to download and use, but we have to license RP in order to make that happen (which costs us money). Also, the programmer - Mike Clarke - along with our graphic designer spent quite a bit of time on this greatly improved and reworked version. Not to mention the 160+ included presets (and more coming).

The new UI looks inviting; it is colorful and fun, à la AudioThing's minibit and Frostbite 2.zircon wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 7:12 pm Though we're not announcing price yet, I will say it is not free (sorry!) inSIDious will be powered by Reaktor Player, which doesn't cost anything for users to download and use, but we have to license RP in order to make that happen (which costs us money). I hope you sell a large volume of licenses. I honestly cannot imagine myself wanting to pay much more than $15 for it, though.

Well you've set the bar quite low.

Maybe check out how much licensing actually costs to get a better picture.

Why should the users which bought full Reaktor (there was a reason for buying it and sure it wasn't to pay way more for .ens running in free player) pay for a free player usage? Same goes for Kontakt btw.
I understand that devs like the idea to reach as many potential customers as possible but don't forget one thing: There a for sure a not so low number of potential customers which are not willing to pay a way higher price just to support free player when they already bought the full Reaktor.
I never understand why devs can't offer two versions: One for people with full Reaktor and one for the people who use the free player. That would be fair!
