Looks like my demos have expired. I am trying to decide if I should get the Ignite bundle or the Core + electro drums... not sure if there is overlap and what represents the best value... any opinions out there?

Here is the comparison list.
https://cherryaudio.com/voltage-modular ... comparison

I went with Core, when I started.
For me the deciding point was that Core has the Plugin Host modules, so I could use external VSTs inside VM, plus it came with the chorus, phaser and reverb. Plus it all the Poly stuff. I'm more of a polyphonic chordy person than a monophonic type of guy. Oh and the sampler..

And get Mod Delay here: https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/mod-delay
Thank you for the demo video. I wish more developers would take the time to actually demonstrate how to use their new modules, for us newbies, that in a lot of cases (obviously not for a modulated delay), read the descriptions and go "What the hell is that meant to do??".

So thank you again. I have purchased and will play later.... Anychace of releasing the patches in the video?

Standalone app is much smoother. I can play all of the Juno related presets and SYNTH Voice presets without drops outs on my i7 3930k at 128 samples with RME raydats. Performance is acceptable for me. *Windows 7 Ultimate Pro 64 bit. 32 gigs of memory...

Plugin Performance Worse on My Machine: Plugin is glitchy in Cubase 8.5 (will test in 9 and 10 ) with audio drops out / stutters even when the ASIO meter is not spiking. Behaviour persists with or without the interface visible. It is worse when a preset is just loaded ... but doesn't fully smooth out.

Website Issue: Voltage Modular Core + Electro Drums is mistakenly listed as free. I am trying to buy it ... looks like the best value. Checkout is not working.

Thank you, and you are welcome! Yep, just visit the module page in the store, and you can download the patches right there: https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/mod-delay

Also be sure to read the "tips" section on the module page, I'll add more stuff there if/when I come up with more tips worth mentioning :)

Thanks for the link. It looks like the Core with Electro Drums is the best overall value. I read that Cherry has opened this up to free modules... maybe we'll see some development similar to VCV Rack.

2.017 for Mac shows better cpu performance indeed.

Are you having any issues with the plugin? Also what DAW are you using? For me standalone is very good but the plugin is really glitchy playing the same patches with the default polyphony stored in the patch.

I cannot say I have issues other than higher cpu load for some polyphonic patches. I mostly use Live 10 as my DAW. The difference between standalone and plugin is there, but it is not a big difference.
I have Mac i5 computers duo core and quad core. A windows computer i7 quadcore. I prefer to use my Mac computers for music purposes for other reasons, but Voltage performance is best on my windows i7 as expected.
Someday I have to upgrade a Mac I am afraid. But, no, not now :-)

Core with Electro Drums upgrade from Nucleus is $50 USD at Plugin Boutique ... great value... lots of modules and presets to get you going. Nucleus was my entry point into this ecosystem.

Can anyone confirm whether current CPU usage is on par with (or less than) version 1? Thanks! :)
A well-behaved signature.

I’m really digging the new Juno synth. That makes me wonder- are there any polyphonic sequencers available?
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

@deastman
just use 3 or 4 mono sequencers
if you set them to different lengths the start to get interesting

Wow guys. I just got 2.0 and only been dabbling so far, watching some of the really well put together videos and going to reading the manual for info that is pertinent to me. I have lots of high end VSTs like Synthmaster, Zebra, Bazille, Repro ,Rob's Explorer 6, Korg's Legacy Collection, but this thing is amazing to me. In particular, I am talking about its sonic depth! Then, am using it inside of Reason for the most part, and just thinking of what you could do using a Combinator is otherworldly. Let alone that it's also a VST effect that can take any synth you have to another set of dimensions. This has got to be one of my best purchases ever! You can upgrade from one of the free set ups to 2.0 for a limited time, at $79, a total steal if it wasn't already.
