Lua Scripting XFadeLooper/Augustus in 2020

I've recently rediscovered XFadeLooper and been having a lot of fun with it. Now I'd like to modify some of the midi stuff a little. It's 2020 now, I'm on Windows 10 and there is no C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Expert Sleepers\Crossfade Loop Synth\Scripts anymore. Also, "Sysinternal’s DebugView" which the manual suggests for debugging seems defunct. So, how would I go about writing a Lua script for XFadeLooper (or Augustus, for that matter) on Windows 10 x64?
