Normally I use SPAN for measuring needs. But SPAN is rather big on some of my displays so I'm looking for an easy Win-64bit Meter. It should show K-20 or K-14 and foremost it should be just meter without anything else. A bit like you would rip-off everything else from SPAN. I sometimes used K-Meter by MZuther but it was somewhat buggy on my system. Thanks yalll

Volume Units with a VU meter is quickest for me (VUMT)

Otherwise if Pro-L or Limitless are already on the master bus then easy to check LUFs Momentary and Integrated there as they both have excellent metering.

Peaks don't tell you sh**.

Like you I use Span for K metering.

I have recently been using the Hornet auto VU meter and I love it.

Instantly and automatically sets your track/plug in chain to -18 (or whatever level you specify)

Now goes at the start of every mix channel and the stereo bus.

Thanks for the replies although some are not an answer to my question ... hahaha ... I think I will go with Klanghelm VUMT.
Almost no cpu, resizable and accurate. I put it down to 50%scaling and VUMT can sit in the right down corner of my DAW.
On the other side I could save money and just stick to Live's meter and get used to get a feeling for k20/k14.

I like My own silverhawk product the best, it's 5 dollars. I employ something less technical that uses three averages. But, I guess it would be fair to say that the upgrade I intend to add to it will improve its function: A track average using recording industry standards.

But, arguably it's only predictable when employing the limiter.

CD is -6 dBFS; common for CD is -4,-5 though like in the case of Michael Jackson and that's after American government passed that bill. But in the way of peaking, it's rare to find and actual LU peak. Instead you get a dBFS true peak, which isn't very intuitive.

In the case of youtube, -13. But LU is significantly louder than people give it credit. I've tested My own algorithm versus Youlean's and I like his method, but he chooses to err on the side of caution. He actually designs his to be offset by about 0.5 of an LU, while I attempt to be half that much closer. However, you could argue he's never wrong because He is below, and that I am risking precision due to accuracy. I guess it's in the way that you see things.

I made a very stringent testing schematic for this, and provide that on My site. If you want to download the free version of flowstone, you could really just use that if you wanted, lol:

I'd tested the algorithm for a few weeks, and have compared My variation on his thousands of times. But his algorithm is stalwart, maybe what I notice however is that in the very initial staging of detection, he's employing averaging in the detection peak. Like employing RMS to a dB meter initially, rather than after the fact. You'd miss your ability to of course predict the true peak, or even the max LU peak in such a case.

I'd honestly hoped that youlean would incorporate My changes to his algorithm into his own, it's not a competition and I have respect for his work.

You can set Youlean Meter to only show the leftern part (the meter and the value readout, without the histograph).
