Tried to do a firmware update on my Beatstep Pro using the Midi Connection Center v1.11.1.1538. I've done it in the past albeit with older versions of MCC. This time I followed its instructions and after powering off then on the Beatstep Pro, it shows 'UPD' in the LED display - this is supposed to happen. I select ok to continue and MCC says it can't do the update and to remove any USB hubs. There was one but it's been there since I started using the Beatstep Pro and thru previous updates. Anyway i disconnect the Beatstep Pro from the hub and reconnect it directly to the PC. It comes up showing UPD. Now MCC says it can't find it. The Beatstep Pro is still stuck in update mode. I found a supposed factory reset holding the PRST LINK << >> LST STEP buttons down while power cycling - still no good.
Anyone know how to clear this error or did it become a paper weight?
Beatstep Pro bricked? Stuck in update mode...FIXED

Seems reset depends on your firmware version. https://www.arturia.com/faq/beatsteppro ... atstep-pro
I have a KeyLab, and I had to download the firmware file, then update, as opposed to MCC doing it for me. Make sure your MCC is up to date too.

Currently have 2.0.1 firmware. Trying to update to 2.0.1.6. I may have updated it before but it only showed 2.0.1 in MCC. Using the latest MCC as well. Was unable to get the Beatstep Pro to reset using the procedure you linked to. I held the buttons down for ~10 seconds - I would have thought it would have started by then.
I’ve sent a request to Arturia. Hopefully they’ll get back back to me in a timely manner...

So I heard back from Arturia tech support. They mentioned putting the BSP into Boot Loader Mode by using the following keystrokes: Hold Play/Stop/Record buttons while powering ON the unit. Then use MCC to update the firmware. Problem was the computer didn't see the BSP since it was already in Boot Loader Mode. Hitting the key code above did not take it out of that mode either...
On a whim I decided to remove the power isolation Y cable and just connect the USB cable to the BSP. Voila! MCC recognized that a device was in boot Loader Mode and prompted me to update the firmware. Once I did that all was better. Reinstalled my Y cable (without it caused terrible noise on my 2600 caused by the BSP) and all is operational again. Not sure why this worked - perhaps the PC needed to see current draw from that USB port...
Hope this helps others in the future...
