I hope they'll find a coronavirus vaccine...
careful what you wish for. Bill Gates will chip up your ass. :)

DW 8000 VST is safer, so lets go with that. Bjorn. :)

The Mac guys with Logic only will chip you for this. :hihi:

Cheers, Björn

I wish. I'm saving up for iPad 2020, my first Apple device, but if Apple crusaders want to deliver it to me faster, please guys, feel free :)

Thanks Björn,
Brings back old times. This was my first synth that I could buy at that time. It had those reversed colored keys, kinda weird actually. Funny to hear it now with velocity sensitivity. No MPE plans? Cheers :-)

I can't believe no one has done one, yet, but sure hope Björn considers this.

Write/code a new one, problem solved :tu:

why would you sell DW 8000, Bjorn? did you starve at some point in life?

Post

My was destroyed in a lightning hit. At the time, irreparable (today, had I kept it, probably could have been repaired for a couple hundred dollars). Disposing it was really, really painful.

I loved that thing, and KVR has shown me I was far from alone.

The DW-6000 was a bit weak and under-developed. But the 8000? Had on-board digital delay 2 years before the Roland D-50, loaned its usability to sampling (DSS-1) and the first user-comprensible FM synth (DS-8), and DWGS heavily influenced the Korg M1, which is still having a ripple effect today. It intrigues me that more people don't recognize the impact it had.

I bet if Björn put it to a vote, the FB-8000 would take top position. I remain hopeful.

Yes, when I was a student, almost. And to be honest, I did not like it that much... horrible editing...

But please, don't get this thread derailed. It's about the Fury-800. 8)
