mladi wrote: Sat Jun 06, 2020 3:43 pmI'm fed up with people who alwayas see haters, haters and mre haters just because the statement of others aren't to their own liking.
And I’m equally burned out the now-cliched KVR responses to EVERY product release that go along the lines of “why isn’t it free?” “it’s a travesty you’re not cross-developing it for MY preferred niche platform, even though I’ll just slag it if you do” and “It doesn’t sound as good as this thing I’ve never heard that hasn’t been released yet.”

I mean, if people are inclined to whine, how about at least giving us some originality, as in “I moved the cutoff fader on this thing and my dog instantly vomited kaleidoscopic chunks of crystal blues and greens that burned holes in the carpet” or “without anti-aliasing, this device is an offense to 6000 years of human development, and it will probably try to date your daughter.”

The only one that is whining is you
We were just curious what this paid version had to offer over the free version , besides improved authencity ( which is subjective )
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

NKS support, much nicer UI and patches by legends of SID history (Hubbard, Galway, Huelsbeck, etc.)

It's almost a complete re-write: 8580 support, more accurate root waveforms, sound effect generator, vastly improved 6581 filter, DAW tempo sync, last-note legato, TEST bit for waveform phase reset, 200Hz support (equivalent of 4x mode in GoatTracker or CheeseCutter).
i9-10980HK. Windows 10 (21H2). Komplete Audio 6. Studio One 5.4.1.

Here is another demo, this time from LMan, using 19 instances of inSIDious all with presets included in the plugin. No other sounds used. WOW.

Shreddage 3 Stratus: Next generation Kontakt Player guitar, now available!

Impact Soundworks - Cinematic sounds, world instruments, electric guitars, synths, percussion, plugins + more!

The magic in the SID chip sound was in the way it needed to be sequenced. Those broken "arpeggiated" chords were "that sound"

This is a big part of inSIDious!

Lol this is so much SID that it doesn't even sound like SID anymore haha

Post

Wow?

Where? I can't hear it sorry.. .. i know you wanted to show that inSIDious is capable for more then pure SID replacement.

But that is inSIDious' 1st and most important call imo..

Anyway..

Imo put in some real SID-like leads with pitchbend, pulse width etc. show us some ring and cross modulation. (not only plucked sounds with 3rd Party fx) and some arpeggios that do the SID justice. Hoping for some great demos coming in the style of MON from 88-92 or whatever.

Good luck!

great Lman Song!! Love the sound of this plugin, so far I have never listened to something so faithful to the sid sound. Very powerful both in old school and modern sound. Can't wait to try it.
I'd like to listen to the filter, especially in the 6581 mode and the performance of the combined waves, especially the pulse + triangle which is truly esoteric but, having already tried and used the free version for a long time, I have no doubt that they will work great!
very good job Mike Clarke

A lot of Elektron SidStation use was monosynth and 3osc playing at the same time, not like C64 style.

cool to see that you've got 'Jammer' working with you. i'd love to hear what Hein Holt could do with it, that guy is the f'ing master.

Sorry but the tracks are meh and not very convincing.. ..could be the reason why there's next to no response here..

So does a thread need to have 40 pages to be considered "a response"? :D

Also, the response from actual people who know how SID actually sounds like (some of them doing the demo tracks, was that it is extremely convincing. So there's that.
