Recently, we have made a video about the Analog Dreams from NI, which was given away due to the current situation in the world.

What do you think? Do minimalistic libraries as such have as big of a place in comparison to libraries that are heavily customizable? Or is it more of a toy than a tool?

Take care

I think the UI design is elegant. I’ll use this infrequently, but it’s the same paradigm as Ethereal Earth and you can make very quick work (I ‘Host Automate’) of things with those macros

I think Ethereal Earth is a great comparison (being a part of the same series and all). I think that the Play Series in general decently describe the use and purpose of these instruments - to play around with the given sounds and come up with an atmosphere, a sketch for a track almost. I believe you could definitely create an entire track with just Analog Dreams alone, which would be definitely competent, but I think where it shines the most is starting off a project that goes deeper and uses the VST as a starting point.
