Sure no doubt about that, just recently many banks / countries got removed from PayPal, due to US terms & sanctions. So it's important to think about alternatives. Share-it (dot) com for example?

That's right, I believe it offers lots of commercial solutions, like managing invoices and keeping track of sales etc.

we are very happy to announce Knobcloud.com, a free marketplace dedicated to audio software.

The obvious question (sorry to be that guy): What's in it for you? You pay the costs for the server, you put a lot of work into coding the site. What exactly is your benefit from the site? Monetarizing through ads?

It's definitely a nice idea and from what I can see - execution. I like how it looks so far. But just like the comment above, I wonder the same. Costs need to be covered, so there needs to be a cut somewhere, so some added transparency would definitely increase trust in the website.

Mint that I don't have anything against monetarizing such a site. It's still a nice service. It's just interesting for me what's the motivation and idea behind it.

We realize that if we were going to take margins of the users sales, the site would be less popular. We are planning to run ads.

The idea has evolved over time, initially we were going to act as a kind of paypal service for this specific area, but we soon figured out it was better to leave it to paypal and run ads to cover our expenses.
