Serum: buy from PB or...?

VST, AU, AAX, CLAP, etc. Plugin Virtual Instruments Discussion

Post

Is there any difference if buying Serum from pluginboutique or directly from Serum’s home page? If I understood correctly, the free updates will come either way & same amount of presets?

If I’ll buy Serum from pluginboutique I would get a free vst (might be handy) & some store credits (might be useful in later shoppings).

No difference. I bought mine as well via PB.
You just buy a license/serial. But I always get the latest version of Serum from Xfer's site because PB is not up-to-date.

I bought Serum from Pluginboutique last week, they give you a code to redeem at Xfer and then you get full access as if you purchased direct, very straightforward. With PB you also get the virtual cash, and the rewards+ with which you can get more Serum preset packs for free.

...or, just a suggestion, go RTO route via Splice.com. Works flawlessly.

Thanks for the info/help! :phones:

My advice? Don't buy that overpriced NFR synth at all. Rather buy arturia pigments or similar.

Come on man, let it go. No need to constantly crap all over a dev just because he made your license NFR.

Yes, there is a need. Need to crap all over him as long as my license is nfr.

Nice. Bet you stand in front of your local Walmart every day as well and shout people shouldn't buy there. ;)

I'm sorry for your 180 € loss, BTW. The question is if you shouldn't move on in your life though, rather than crying your heart out here every day about it. It's not like your GF left you or something. Even then, it would be quite a borderline behavior.

Wasn't there a poll here on KVR recently which showed that SERUM is still the most used and admired wavetable synth?

and nowadays we've seen great updates, for example the ability to modulate envelope points (x and y direction)
