There are demos for the most if not all of the mentioned synths available.
I already tried most of the synths and I'm gonna try the ones I've haven't, except for Falcon 2 that doesn't have a demo.

I'm not expert at sound design so I need people to direct me to powerful synths. Some of them I didn't know they existed. So it has helped me a lot.

In the end I will finally choose what I get, so don't worry.

Nah, Falcon doesn't require a dongle, works with just the iLok cloud.

iLOK Cloud is worse than a dongle, IMO. "This feature requires that the computer is continuously connected to the internet during use."

And the OP refused Avenger because it uses a kind of copy protection that's similar. A dongle is much more convenient than that. Fortunately, Falcon works with the iLOK dongle.

I just double-checked this with my iLok plugins, you don't need an internet connection during use. The license is placed on your machine and you can use the plugins offline once authorized. And it's the same for VPS Avenger, just tested it. Only need the connection to authorize it.

I used to be pro iLok Cloud, but, the way they do it really sucks... no good alternative to the dongle.

I'm still not convinced, so still think Avenger is better than these :)

I have no issues with it at all, but everyone's workflow is different. I just have this one desktop PC with everything on it: gaming, working, making music.
What i really don't like though is 25$ transfer fee, makes buying/selling licenses for cheaper plugins pretty much pointless.

What was written is from the iLOK web page

You are probably confusing iLOK Cloud with soft iLOK (The license is stored locally in your computer). Falcon cannot be used with that method, AFAIK.

I am not commenting on the VPS Avenger license because I don't own it and I have no idea how it works. What I know is that the OP refused it because of the way the license system works.

You are not the OP, so you don't need to be convinced of anything. WTF are you talking about? :o

And Avenger is better than what? A list of about 15 synths (almost all of them real powerful synths) was mentioned. Are you saying Avenger is better than ANY of them?

TBH, I prefer C/R to always online.

Hmm i wasn't aware there is actually 3 variations of iLok...
But what i can definately confirm is that Falcon 2 and VPS Avenger can be used without internet once they are authorized. I own both and tested it.

Though worth mentioning, the "once" really is a "once at least every 90 days" in this case (btw even when using the dongle *rofl* ).

OK then, I stand corrected :tu:

Anyway, FWIW, HALion also works with soft eLicenser

So, neither of them requires a dongle, after all (even if I still think that, given the authorization method, the dongle is the safest way to go).

I still can't figure out why Zebra 2 is getting so many votes. It's a great synth no doubt and I just traded my DIVA license to get it back but it doesn't resemble or replace in any way a synth like Avenger.

When Zebra 2 gets full sample import and 8 separate layers then you can mention it in the same breath as Avenger or Rapid.
