Congratulations on a very wise purchase and I am proud of you for not buying the seriously crippled microKorg... this is the real deal. :) I have been 10 times more productive with that synth than any other. It's just an absolute joy to program. Korg put a good amount of thought into the UI and while it does have rather low polyphony, it is actually very flexible. The 3 lane step sequencer can control just about anything, the modulation matrix is extremely easy to use and the effects, while simple, are of high quality. Almost everything has a dedicated knob or button, so there is very little menu hunting required, except for some extra granular editing on certain functions. Even so, the moment you adjust a parameter in edit mode, the menu will immediately switch to it, so you are usually only one step away. I love this thing! :D

Congrats John, it is a beauty. I almost got one of these myself but the Ion won out. They are nice sounding machines. Hours and hours of fun ahead for you. I expect we will be seeing you tour the states now that you are freed from the confines of the PC. Can't wait to hear your first tunes with it. 8)
