RapidComposer 3.9b20 is available!

Improvements:

• {chords} uses selected chords only
• Instability after reopening the plug-in editor window fixed
• New setting: Chord List Separator (characters used between chord names)
• Fixed: timecode display was shown even if only the bar position should have been displayed

Works great so far.. woo hoo.. However, if you add a chord generator to a phrase, then select that phrase, the dialog is way to big and needs to be re-sized down. If you could make it initially smaller for the screen size I am at, that would be great.

I just use 1080x1920.. but, yea, you need to accommodate any possible screen size..

Other than that, looking good..

EDIT: yea, found some play back issues.. the play cursor may sometimes not move/draw and a chord at the start of a progression won't play.. I would have to do a video to show it in detail, and I don't have time today, though..

Edit 2: To re-create my test, I did the following:

In Reaper, create 3 tracks. Track one is the RC track, Track 2 is a VST and track 3 is the midi track.
route RC to track 3, channel 1. Route track 3 to VST track channel 1. In a real world case, eventually the "midi" track would hold the midi generated from RC..

populate RC with phrases, I used a whole bar chord as the first phrase and whatever phrases after that..

Just play that back, with the RC FX window open, then closed, etc..

I am loving the new {chords} and MIDI file export in RapidComposer 3.9b20 !

A problem though - when I try to Import a MIDI file, the mouse pointer goes away and I'm left having to End Task and start all over.

The problem appears immediately after selecting a file for import (or immediately after dragging one in to the MIDI Import window).

This test was with the stand-alone program, brand New Composition, importing a short .mid file previously saved from same version of RC.

Update: Actually, problem seems to manifest on any MIDI file import.

I know that Attila is very careful about interface changes) but I always wanted to write that it would be nice to create an additional option for displaying inspectors and browsers.
This sliding sidebar (left / right of the main window), the inspector or the browser when you click (or just better when you hover the mouse on the appropriate icon).
Or just move the mouse cursor over the edge of the window - and now the inspector has moved out of the edge of the window from the side. And perhaps the option of embedding inspectors and browsers (as a whole) in the main composition window. Thank .

I can re-produce this too...

Also, not related to this.. It is possible to "lose" the browsers when all the window settings are click off in settings. You can actually drag a browser beyond the side of the app.. To get the browser back, I have to move the app over and drag out the app size larger.. (this is the stand alone)

Another thing has always been frustrating for me ... Not so long ago, you made it possible to expand and collapse all groups simultaneously in browsers. I would very much like to expand and collapse, for example, variations in inspectors (now it is possible to expand and collapse only the contents of a variation, but not the entire list of variations). I would like to see the same in the Settings menu. Thank .

There are several ways to create a section but no way to cohesively tie them all together. Every tutorial that
I’ve watched to date only shows a section never have I seen; Intro, Verse 1, Pro Chorus 1, Verse 2, Pro Chorus 2, Chorus 2, Bridge, Pre Last Chorus, Last Chorus and Outro.. The full song structure with all the midi generated interaction based on the choice of the previous section. This would make this program more than perfect.

If there is a way to do this already or a tutorial, PLEASE let me know..
