"(sorry for clickbait)"
So why do it? "Cubasis 3 on Android" seems perfectly good as a headline for generating interest. All you're doing is trying to get people to click on something they probably don't care about.

That's something I definitely didn't expect. Kudos to Steinberg for trying a Android app.

That was obviously tongue in cheek, because otherwise I wouldn't have added that, right? But you're right - I'll change the title.Gamma-UT wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2020 3:23 pm "(sorry for clickbait)"

A little more nitpicking: there’s a dedicated subforum for „Mobile apps and hardware“.

I've posted the relevant info before posting here, too - you'd know if you looked thereCrossinger wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2020 3:52 pm A little more nitpicking: there’s a dedicated subforum for „Mobile apps and hardware“.![]()
But I thought it's big enough of a deal that it warrants cross-posting.

It's not a game. It's a serious life & death business hereCrossinger wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2020 3:58 pmOk, 1:0antic604 wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2020 3:55 pmI've posted the relevant info before posting here, too - you'd know if you looked thereCrossinger wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2020 3:52 pm A little more nitpicking: there’s a dedicated subforum for „Mobile apps and hardware“.![]()

Exciting! My G8s gets a desktop mode soon with its Android 10 update (I already have a Minix hub with HDMI out) and the Snapdragon 855 should be quite capable when it comes to processing audio plugins...

So....
There is no plug-in ecosystem for Android. So we are stuck with Cubasis stock plugins and Waves, which I don't like for various reasons... Would be great if a plugin ecosystem would come into existence for Android.

"Waves crap"... says everything we need to know about your precious opinion.
These Waves plugins are not available on Android at the moment btw. - which however says nothing about whether an open plugin format will come in thw future. Steinberg might introduce VST for Android. The more successful this version of Cubasis is, the more likely this will happen, I assume.

I think this release marks a start for things changing up in this regard. I'm pretty sure it wasn't smooth sailing on iOS at first either.BerryLaCroix wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2020 9:53 pmThere is no plug-in ecosystem for Android. So we are stuck with Cubasis stock plugins. Meh. Meh and more Meh.

btw.: according to Geekbench, my laptop's 1065G7 (which is quite capable) is only about 40% stronger than my phones 855 - so if this is anything to go by....
