I have a very simple problem for which I’m pulling my hair out. When I press the stop button I want to go to wherever I started from. That’s it. I’ve tried all options and they seem to either play from last position or reset to the beginning of the project. Please help!!!

I think you can right-click the play button and select "Play from selected region".

Do you want to see the playhead go to the last started position after you hit stop?
If so you can do it with number 0 instead of spacebar on numeric keypad on the right.
If you use a laptop or do not have numerics on your Mac Keyboard, you can set a keyboard shortcut for ''Stop and Go to Last Locate Position''

The problem is "Stop and Go to Last locate position" always goes to the beginning! I just got the fader port so I don't know if this is related to that.

To play and stop the playhead you click on the play and stop button or you use the spacebar ?

If you right click on the play button, what are the options that are checked ?

If you right click on the stop button, what are the options that are checked ?

The way I got around this was to assign stop button on fader port to ‘go to previous locate’ and pause/play to ‘stop’.

How to get logic to go to previous locate position?
