I myself am hoping for an SEM Filter and the older Oscillators, all changed (between OB-X and OB-Xa) with a switch in the back panel (kind of like what the Legend Early vs Late Model does (yes I know it is a completely different architectural type switch))
Of course no rush at all.

I'd totally double that. If possible, i.e. if they can get their hands on a real SEM.

What I really really really need is option to turn of LFO restart at note on when in sequencer mode.AnX wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 8:51 pm I'm sure Rich will look into most FRs, he did add stuff to Legend

Is this the current Obsession thread? Don't want to write in the wrong one...
So, finally out
Downloaded and tried it, it sounds good, but I am not as impressed as I thought I would be, frankly.
A few things I noticed:
- the portamento is unusual, sometimes you play a note, then a note an octave higher and yet that second note is not approached from below, but from above.
- the ensemble effect seems to be mono?
- I don't like the chorus sound
- the reverb sounds very good
- the envelope knobs are very similar to Dune's, unfortunately
- the big size of the GUI is a bit too big for my screen, the voice knobs are behind the Windows taskbar, cockoo
Still have to figure out how that voice edit thingy works

TBH, I'm not a big fan of the delay and chorus effects either. The reverb sounds superb though. For the delay, I definitely use my preferred external delay (Replika XT), and for the chorus, I use NI Choral.
I read in the manual that the reverb uses algorithms by Mirko Ruta. Really good job there, hardly ever heard a better sounding onboard reverb in a synth.

The GUI is resizable. Did you try the smaller size? What's your screen resolution?e-crooner wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 10:20 pm - the big size of the GUI is a bit too big for my screen, the voice knobs are behind the Windows taskbar, cockoo![]()

The voice edit thing is actually pretty easy to use, and well described in the manual. Basically, just click on one of the voices, and adjust the parameter differences of the single voice.
I wished there was a "clean" init patch though, with all voice settings set to a default value. I had a couple of minutes work to tweak the existing 8 voice init patch to have default values for all voices...

"Init patch", then "Initialize voice adjustments" in right-click menu (all trimmers should position in the center, except Pan I think). If you want, save it in the root Soundbanks menu as "Clean" and leave it there alone (delete all the demo patches in the root of Soundbanks, as they're all duplicates anyway). That's how I do it. Every time I open Obsession, it defaults to my "Clean" patch.

Yes I too, whilst grateful for the 3 sizes, wish they were more or better yet you could drag it to the size you want (which may not work in an RE compatible framework)...e-crooner wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 10:44 pmYes, the medium one works of course, but still, bigger is betterFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 10:34 pmThe GUI is resizable. But yes small is much too small, Large too large and so Medium is what I have to do, but wished it was indeed bigger.

I see. A bit exaggerated in my view, weeks ago I thought it would enable me to adjust fine tune and panning onlychk071 wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 10:38 pm The voice edit thing is actually pretty easy to use, and well described in the manual.
