There's not a direct way to do this, but the only way I can think of right now to mimic that would be: select step LFO, 128 steps, draw by hand a straight(ish) diagonal line (ramp up or down) from one corner to the opposite, and then in Mod Matrix set LFO1*MW to either OSC 1/2 semi (or Fine) or Pitch Semi (or Fine). Can one set the oscillators to retrigger somehow? Just wondering because the pulse signal sounds rather inconsistent when setting the pulse width and phase, including using the mod matrix.

That gets in the ballpark, but I'm terrible at mouse drawing and there's no way to constrain to force it to draw a straight line (I was thinking like hold Alt and draw or something).Yorrrrrr wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:33 pmThere's not a direct way to do this, but the only way I can think of right now to mimic that would be: select step LFO, 128 steps, draw by hand a straight(ish) diagonal line (ramp up or down) from one corner to the opposite, and then in Mod Matrix set LFO1*MW to either OSC 1/2 semi (or Fine) or Pitch Semi (or Fine). Maybe a tester can raise it as an FR (adding Saw and Tri waveshapes from the OB-Xa and OB-8 respectively, not the constrained drawing).

Does setting Const to Osc 1 (and/or 2) Phase in Mod Matrix work for what you're trying to accomplish?e-crooner wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:39 pm Can one set the oscillators to retrigger somehow? Maybe this is only happening to me.. I find myself often enough whilst browset presets with the left and right arrow button, accidentally hitting the save or open icons which are literally next to the arrows and close.
Since There is (at least in Cubendo) no way to do previous or next preset using the computer keyboard navigation arrows, could the Previous and Next Arrow be moved to the Left of the Preset Name? If I am not the only one who this happens to.

Small "grumble" (wouldn't call it a bug - but maybe it is):
1. Go to the back panel - Mod Section
2. Very precisely, click the "down" triangle in the mod slots (you know, that downward facing triangle that indicates this is a dropdown)
Result: nothing happens
Expected Result: Dropdown menu opens
3. Now, click to the left of that downwards triangle
Result: dropdown opens.
I think the "hit zone" for the mod slots that opens the dropdown should be included to cover the area where that little triangle is.

Yup- now I have bought it and being playing with the full version (which has a bunch of split pre-sets) I can see that the A - B is more of a 'slide to a variation of A' device rather than a morph between two patches...to many elements of A and B have to be the same to really get something substantially different...still useful, but not as useful as being able to morph/layer/split two completely independent patches.Ingonator wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 12:08 pmCopy/Paste does not just work for Dual/Split parts but also for the voice trimmers of a certain voice.Ingonator wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 9:45 am First it is important to know that only the Osc/Filter/envelope settings can be copied from another patch while other parameters like e.g. modulation, mod matrix and FXs are global.
A way to create a Dual patch from 2 single patches is this:
- Load a single patch in the 1st instance of OBsession
- if needed change voices to 16 (right-click menu or the Dual/Split modes drop-down menu)
- At the drop-down menu in the upper left select "Dual"
- open a 2nd instance of OBsession
- load another single patch in the 2nd instance
- in the 2nd instance click on "copy part" in the right-click menu
- go back to the 1st instance and open part B there (by clicking at "B")
- click on "paste part" from the right-click menu which adds the OSc/Filter/enveleop settings of teh second patch to Part B of the first instance
- you can flip the parts with "swap parst" from the right click menu
- in this example the modulation + mod matrix + FX settings from the first instance/patch will be used. The volume knob is global too but you got the balance fader to adjust the volume of the parts.
This sounds complicated at a first look but gets very easy when you get used to it.
When you open one of the voice edit pages then in the right-click menu you get 2 options called "Copy Trimmers" and "Paste Trimmers". You can use this to copy/paste voice trimmers inside a single part of a patch (from one voice to another one), between 2 parts of a Dual/split patch and also between 2 instances of OBsession and/or between 2 patches.

Yep. The "hit zone" should include the downwards triangle, indeed. Maybe it's the box what's meant to be clicked, IDK...Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:53 pm Small "grumble" (wouldn't call it a bug - but maybe it is):

Yes, maybe put the back arrow before the preset name field (whose limitation I don't even see, frankly) and the next arrow after the preset name field, and leave some space before the two file buttons.zvenx wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:49 pm Maybe this is only happening to me.. These are all little things that can be corrected in subsequent updates. For a 1.00 version, I think Obsession is fine.

Yes, that works. I had tried that before, but I had forgotten that unselecting both waveforms in the other oscillator still produces the triangle, which screwed up my soundYorrrrrr wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:42 pmDoes setting Const to Osc 1 (and/or 2) Phase in Mod Matrix work for what you're trying to accomplish?e-crooner wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:39 pm Can one set the oscillators to retrigger somehow? I brought this up during beta testing but unfortunately it was not acknowledged. I guess not enough people care about that. Perhaps send in a request to Synapse support. I use a touch screen quite often and it's 50/50 whether I actually hit the arrow I want and not save.zvenx wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:49 pm Maybe this is only happening to me.. Sure. But it makes you wonder what the beta testers were doing for monthsYorrrrrr wrote: Sun Jun 21, 2020 4:58 pm These are all little things that can be corrected in subsequent updates. For a 1.00 version, I think Obsession is great.

Sorry, but we were doing just that, for many, many issues. You can't even imagine how many things come up during development. But the developers not always attend our suggestions or requests. Perhaps what was needed is another 6 months of testing and release this in 2021. Remember, we're not representatives of the company. Merely third-party testers and nothing else.

Indeed as a beta tester for other developers. You can suggest but at the end of the day the developer makes the call. Some are much more open than others.
