I saw this and too am tempted. Probably going to upgrade my PC sooner rather than later; hopefully will take the hassle out of porting over if all are V11. :-?
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Actually it might just simplify things a lot for you. Don’t forget to transfer your licenses back to the cloud before my you do it though. Unless you have them stored on a USB.

I don't think the second machine while WUPed thing is worth it. You might just buy the plugins again for a second machine. As disgusting as that sounds.

For instance, I have Scheps Omni at v10. The Waves website wants $10 to upgrade, which is an improvement for sure, I don't think I've ever seen it that low. But at the same time, at some point in the year that license is probably going to be selling for around $20. If I wait around and just buy it again, I'll have a few more years of it on my second computer instead of a license for one more year for 2 computers.

Either way I'm not going to bother. I already made choices to use other plugins on my second computer (for tracking), and I'm holding out on version upgrades until there's a reason (new features or a forced computer change).

With the amount if Waves plugins I have, buying all version 9 & 10 again is nonsensical. I can upgrade all for $180.

Same here, I have a lot of single 9 and 10 licenses and there’s no bundle which includes them all (unless you go really expensive)... I thought about purchasing a second set of plugins (maybe leaving behind those I use less) for a new pc that hopefully I’ll buy soon, but WUP with discount makes more sense... So I bought my WUP and went to version 11 a few minutes ago.

Maybe I’ll buy a few additional “essential” single licenses (or an entry level bundle) for my current computer when I’ll buy my new one (so I can use those plugin on both machines without having to keep WUP active, especially on a “soon to be legacy” computer)...
I don’t care about having a big set of plugins on my soon-to-be-legacy machine (I wouldn’t use them), so I prefer saving some money (discounted WUP + a few additional licenses is cheaper than re-purchasing everything in my case).

In my opinion, it really depends on which licenses you own, if you have bundles or if your set of licenses matches well with a bundle...

hi, i bought the update from everyplugin, i received a voucher but when i try to renew my WUP i cannot see anywhere to input the voucher, any ideas.
if i try and buy a single plugin there is a place to enter a voucher, but not when i try to renew my WUP.
thanks
Tony

EDIT: Sorted, it happens automatically, DOH!! never WUP'd before, but want all my plugs at latest version, especially with latest offer.

I've since left Waves...ten years ago they were great.....now? There are much cheaper and freeware alternatives that are equally capable.

Waves can kick rocks

What benefit did it give you?

Is there per-plugin documentation on what has been updated in V9, V10 and V11? I wasn't able to find anything on the Waves site. Let me know if you know!

I was so psyched to use my new $180 voucher and was trying to plan out my purchase since the voucher won't retain a balance etc, etc, etc. I checked an online retailer just to satisfy my curiosity and found that the voucher was going to save me about $3 on the plugins I'd picked. No thanks, Waves! I'd rather some of the money go to the retailer.
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

I think the best thing to do with the voucher will be wait until Waves get bored of the fake 40% sale and run some other promotion that is more compatible. Of course, we don't know when/what that will be

The biggest thing for V10 to V11 is Catalina compatibility for Mac users. Not much reason to upgrade if you're on Windows. Some of the Renaissance plugins also got bigger, updated GUIs, and I believe some presets were added here and there.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

That's pretty much it.

They claim some sort of CPU enhancements on the framework or loader or something, but I have not noticed any, basically same CPU on S1. The big marketing thing was the new GUI for the Ren stuff, but AFAIK it's all just a facelift and no changes to the audio. They also said they added more presets for a handful of things like the Ren stuff and the Scheps Omni.

The real reason V11 came about was the Catalina fix. While every other developer I buy from was working on providing a free minor fix, Waves decided the Catalina fix required a paid upgrade to a new version number for everyone including people on Windows.

Fun fact: notice that at the same time they rolled out v11, they also rolled out a massive set of typical bug fixes they had in the works. But they held back the bug fixes until the release of v11, which means v10 users are not allowed to receive those bug fixes and are forced to upgrade.
