Haha, this made me laugh a lot. In all seriousness though, this has been one of my favorite things about this thread: there's a great balance of some really insightful scientific and technical questions, mixed with a lot of folks who are after "the sound" and have useful feedback from using the plugin. As someone who lives on the line between those worlds I really appreciate this, and I can't overstate how both types of feedback have contributed to the quality of this plugin!
Jatin, this is Izak (the guy who contacted you some time ago and who started this thread - I had to create a new KVR account). I can certainly say that the wealth of information and user interaction that you granted us, makes this one of the best DSP discussion threads on the web. If there was an award for "DSP publicity", the gold, no platinum, award would certainly go to you, since you not only listen and respond to feedback, but also discuss your approach transparently and actually care to implement the improvements. If I had any talent in DSP, I would certainly bookmark this thread as one of my main references!

Thank you

Yes! That was only my strange attitude of making compliments. In fact - what you all do here - is an exemplary manner of collaboration. Though I thought Eddy Current Supression Ring is a British punk band. - A good one.

Indeed. I messed it up.
Wait. - At least it's the Commonwealth and under the crown.

Hey folks,

Just posted a new release of the tape plugin. Nothing too crazy here, just some small bug fixes that folks have been asking for. Still working on fixing the clicking behavior in Reaper, and some other DAWs, as well as implementing frequency-dependent hysteresis as was mentioned in this thread previously. I also added some contributing guidelines, with plenty of stuff for both programmers and non-programmers, so feel free to pitch in!

I like The Klon but it did get loud pop adding it in Reaper

Thanks, I'm still trying to work out that popping issue. It's funny since I included the circuits from some versions of the pedal that are supposed to avoid that popping sound when the pedal is plugged in.

I stumbled across this thing.

EH, you really did it, mate? Downloaded & will test NOW, will report back soon :)
Nice, will check this out soon.

Hope the tape works for me now.

Hey Jatin, unfortunately the tape and the phaser GUI are messed up for me. Win8, vst2 64 bit - Ableton Live 10.1

The tape gui used to work just fine for me btw. What can I do to help you figure out what the issue is?

I can still use the parameters on Abletons plugin wrapper but it's not as good!

Hi Jatin, thanks for working on this! I've tested v2.3.3 and found the phase issues with the dry/wet knob are much better now but there's still some cancellation with a big dip (-27dB) at 18kHz (tested default preset, 40% wet, 2x oversampling, white noise source).

Another thing that I noticed is that a 0% wet signal is not the same as bypassing the plugin, there's also a high freq cut on the dry signal (at 4x oversampling this high cut is almost inexistent, but for 2x, 8x and 16x its noticeable).

I like adding subtle saturation by merging the distorted signal back with the original, however this is not a big deal, I can use it 100% wet to avoid phase issues and play around with the controls to create a more subtle effect.

On the Klon thing. Might be a prebuffer needed when adding

Oh no! Messed up in what way? I got this bug report for the tape plugin. Is this the same issue you're experiencing?

Thanks for testing this, I'll see if I can get to the bottom of these issues. Could you share the white noise file you're using for testing? I have a couple white noise generators, but I just want to make sure I'm not running into any freaky bugs. This is pretty strange though, for example at 0%, the oversampling should be completely bypassed, so there should be no difference there. I'll be tracking these issues here.

I'm experiencing it too (Win10 2004, 64-bit, Live 10)
