Hiya,
I'm just testing out Acid 5. Can't wait to get it Rewired-up with Cubase :hihi:

- The main thing I've noticed from Acid 4 to 5 is when you click on the 'Track FX' button it now brings up the 'ACID FX' - that all very cool - but how do I now select my own choice of Direct-X FXs? Say I want to use a 3rd party Reverb over a track, how do I now do that?

I've checked over the stark manual and extremely unhelpful website - so any help would be greatly appreciated 8)

:uhuhuh: That is what you get for trying out an application that has not been officially released yet. Where did you happen to get this... testing out... version of ACID Pro 5?

Acid Pro 5.0's release date is, I believe, November 8.

Not to step on anyones toes, but he didn't say he was using Acid PRO 5, just Acid 5. Acid Music Studio 5 has been out for a while I believe.

Then again, you may be right. Only 4ppleseed can tell.

You are right BreakPete, maybe I did jump the gun....if so then my apologies to 4ppleseed
ACID Music Studio 5 (baby brother of ACID Pro 5) does not have third party DirectX support, it can only use it's own native effects, nor does it have any ReWire capabilites.

Hiya,
ACID Music Studio 5 is what I'm looking over and I guess the non-support of 3rd party effects is my problem. Thanks for you help :)

Acid Studio 5 is a great little program with a lot of cool features. I guess the non-support of third party plugs is a bummer, but you can still do a lot with the program.

Acid Music (the old name) is what got me using acid. Once I started I never looked back.

A little OT, but I got into Acid through some free software that came with my Soundblaster soundcard about 4 years ago.
Upgraded to Acid Pro with a ridiculous offer that couldn't be passed up($70... ) and have been VERY MUCH in love with the program since.
Deeply looking forward to Acid Pro 5, so I guess I know what this year's Xmas present is gonna be  :D
