Don't tell me... You were shopping for a Behringers synth, and the shop showed cheapest was a dust cover.

This goes the same direction as mobile phones & tablets. First wade through a whole jungle of accessories before you get to the meat.

No, I noticed it in one of their listings (new stuff / best sold / almost gone).
Seems a smart move from Thomann, introducing these.
(Does dust really matter that much though, if a synth doesn't have sliders?)

Dust matters. I've been looking for a dust cover for the Komplete controller for quite a while, I ended buying some cloth and asking my mom to sew it for me. So, good idea.

I live in NYC so Dust is always a problem, compounding the situation there’s been demolition & construction of a building behind my apartment since August.
So yeah for me dust is a problem for both keyboards and computers.
I’m trying to address this, recently l bought rubbing alcohol, microfiber cloths,Tide “pens to go” and a universal dust removal putty that will lift dust off of surfaces.
I also bought towels that will cover the keyboards when they are not being used.
It doesn’t look great but a simple towel over a keyboard should help immensely.
So I’m about to go on a mission to drastically reduce the level of dust on and in my gear.
Yeah in some places dust can be a major problem.

yup, towels, sheets, or get ypur mum to srw you something, anything works.
in most places, you wouldnt use them on th8ngs youre using every day, obviously busy cities will have more dust and if you have pets, especially pets that clomb or fly around.
although, why youd let budgies out to fly on your studio i dont know! :o

The TD3 and Crave look like the exact same cover, the TD3 is 23 euros, the crave is 13 hahahaha
Duh

I bought about a dozen Gator of their 61 and 88 key stretchable one, works with anything. Ability to tie if a bit big etc. If it is €10-€15 each or something. Available on amazon too.

And found very useful for guitars in floorstands as well, no more dusting and wiping guitars.
I just hang it on headstock and it protects the entire guitar, neck and body too.

Same for floorboard with pedals - one cover it all.

They don't absorb dust or become static etc. Perfect for everything.

So don't get fooled by some on amazon, which are cloth - and collect dust themselves.
Get the Gator ones, I think they are perfect.

Those synths have similar but not identical dimensions.
It's a shame Thomann doesn't list the covers' dimensions. It's conceivable one wouldn't suit the other.

Seems like a great (and very affordable!) solution.
(a quick Google tells me I can buy 'em from Gear4Music: https://www.gear4music.be/en/Keyboards- ... -Cover/H2P)

I wish they had one large enough to cover my Jaspers rack, but then again it prolly wouldn't be practical. I might try a sheet, like vurt suggested, and wash it regularly.

The Thomann offering claims to be water repellant though, if you like to use your supersoaker in the studio that might be an advantage.

Best dust covers I've seen so far are these:

I've got one for my 106, Polysix and Prophet 5! Sadly the cat decided one day to sharpen it's claws on the Polysix cover so it's a little marked...

I use the Gator ones for my Midi Keyboard and Digital Piano, well worth the money
