Because I could.David wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2020 6:39 pm Why'd you chose the Bluethner to begin with, compared to any other piano, as a starting point?
I don't think there is.David wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2020 6:39 pm And, is there some elegant way to copy the per-note edits from one model to another? Or to store them…?

Sorry, I had temporary versionitis but have now recovered.
Let me try again:
I am waiting for a once in a century no brainer sale.
My GAS now demands lower prices to get the juices flowing to make a buy decision.
Yea, seven will very likely be the one to get!
After the release of P7 I will even consider Pianoteq 6 Pro, again if the price is right.
When is P7 due to be released?

Please do not confuse versionitis with virginitis. When much younger I visited my Doctor and he told me I had an acute male virginitis. He prescribed for me to find a cute girl preferably one with female virginitis. Hey, it worked and I no longer have virginitis!!! My Doctor was a genius.
One of the long term side effect of virginitis is an occasional lapse of versionitis. It' embarrassing.

So, IOW—NOT because it was uniquely suited to the end-goal you arrived at…yes?Sampleconstruct wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 2:08 amBecause I could.David wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2020 6:39 pm Why'd you chose the Bluethner to begin with, compared to any other piano, as a starting point?
Now that's a shame; wonder if that can be, or might someday be, rectified.Sampleconstruct wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 2:08 amI don't think there is.David wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2020 6:39 pm And, is there some elegant way to copy the per-note edits from one model to another? Or to store them…?

This story does not seem credible.Kalamata Kid wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 4:35 am ^^^

Right-clicking in the note edit panel presents copy/paste options. Ctrl+C/V also works.Sampleconstruct wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 2:08 amI don't think there is.David wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2020 6:39 pm And, is there some elegant way to copy the per-note edits from one model to another? Or to store them…?

Hmm… I guess there IS something unique about the Bluethner that no doubt contributes greatly to the sound Simon was able to get (I copied all the per-string panels from his Cello fxp to the Steinway D that I have, and noted that there's one page only the B has, and one or maybe two only the S has; .fxp attached, plus a few others). The B-only panel and the unique feature is this, from the Modartt page:
A unique feature in Blüthner's grand pianos is the fourth string for each key in the treble, called the Aliquot system. Its purpose is to create a sympathetic vibrating string that enhances the tone.

Hope, there'll be a 30% discount this year.

Do they have predictable sales dates?

I'm not aware of that, only hoping for a summer sale, perhaps Black Friday.

They've had a sale every summer for the past few years, usually in July:

Hoping to pick up a couple instruments this year if the pattern holds.
