Maybe an OB-Xa is not as satisfying to make pads either. Diva is very good all around. Plenty of overlap between it and Obsession, but for some tasks either one would be better suited.

Have you tried using "Voicemap" as the modulation source for the Pan Mod? Doesn't give you the same level of control Obsession does, but it'll pan voices without needing to stack.Vortifex wrote: Thu Jun 25, 2020 3:03 pm The annoying thing for me about Diva is that you can't individually pan the voices, you have to stack voices which reduces the polyphony and then spread them.

Thank you. YES works now.
Right click aka control left click enables and disables solo, and Command left click switches muted voices on and on voices to mute.
Thank you.

Looks like a fixed version of v1.01 for Mac was re-uploaded.

Yes this works in Diva for panning voices and the stacked voices can be used to emulate the unison. This also works in "mono" mode when voices and stack voices are both set to e.g. 6 voices which is the maximum in Diva so 8 or even 16 unison voices like in OBsession are not possible.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Jun 25, 2020 3:14 pmHave you tried using "Voicemap" as the modulation source for the Pan Mod? FWIW i reprogramed a few of my OBsession patches in Diva and those sound very nice indeed. Anyway a lot of my patches would be very difficult or impossible to replicate in Diva.

Pretty useful feature IMO.

Yes indeed.
A suggestion (which of course might have also been made on the beta forum) that was at least made here, ridiculed and implemented even better than suggested.
Kudos to Richard.

Since i started my thead for free OBsession patches at the Soundware sub-forum i started to add a few new patches as single downloads. Besides more detailed posts for certain patches i also collected them in the 2nd post of the thread (at "UPDATES"):
viewtopic.php?f=257&t=547963&p=7808412#p7808412
When i have reached a bigger amount of at least 10 or maybe even 20 new patches i will also start to add them all in a single download.

Back when the hardware was popular, pads were much less dynamic and pompous than today. Obsession is fine for making old-skool pads.Yorrrrrr wrote: Thu Jun 25, 2020 3:07 pm Maybe an OB-Xa is not as satisfying to make pads either. Diva is very good all around. And the shimmer reverb can add some magic to pads.

To each their own of course, but what made the OB's my all time favourite Analog synths were for their pads and synth brasses primarily.Yorrrrrr wrote: Thu Jun 25, 2020 3:07 pm Maybe an OB-Xa is not as satisfying to make pads either. I LOVE using OBSession for pads and in my own patches this is the category with the most patches and even more when including the Synth Strings and textures/atmospheres.
I am sure i could do a lot more pad sounds in the future, including using using the Dual mode.
