Still amazing to me that PA cannot get their installation manager app to show when there are updates. It doesn't even show version numbers.

Yes, which is fine, but beside the point. Emails are easily spammed or overlooked. Every other installation manager I use (Arturia, NI, Acustica, Izotope) checks for updates, and shows the currently installed version.

Man , this thing rocks big time... best almost no money I've spend in a long time. Dunno why there isn't more talk about this here.

They also seem to have reduced CPU usage by a lot. I remember when I demo'd version 1 that it almost brought my computer down with only very few voices.

Yeah, it's def rocking.
Probably not much talk because of the general "hate" for PA in recent times.
I see this quite pragmatic, If they do great products I will buy them for the price I see right.
And the intro price I bought it for (~50€) is right for this synth. Their copy protection is OK and they update their stuff once/twice a year, that's not great but at least they do unlike other big companies in the business.

As said before, what I really like about oberhausen is the Arp, the filter, the envelopes.
What I don't like too much is the limited configuration of the LFOs, but well, limitations are good?

I definitely do not need bx_oberhausen since I have Arturia’s OBs and just bought Obsession! Haven’t fully explored Strobe 2 or even the Triton VST yet. Still need to download Odin.

But I bought it anyway.

Both great synths! Obsession is a great emulation, like repro-5. I don´t miss my old OB8 anymore.
Been trying Oberhausen for a couple of hours, it have the SEM flavour and the emulation seem to be into the UHe territory too. I had a FVS for years till 2011 and its one of a kind soundwise. Oberhausen have the imprint like no other VA including SemV that now is a couple of spteps behind BX.
Just wish I could have differnt panels for each voice like the original.... Loved having each "voice" with a different sound and using the sequencer or arpeggiating with rotate mode...
