I agree with your notion that we shouldn't have resisted the Vikings, by the way. Then we could have reintroduced "Paganism" and the Victorian age would never have happened. I do quite like the dress though. But not the shame, guilt, etc. - no time for those things. Also love "witches" and they would have been better protected.

But yeah. From what I've read, it seems the Vikings were largely interested in trade. Of course, how one group of people behave in a large society doesn't necessarly give a true impression of the society as a whole.
