I tried to recreate tel aviv lead and I couldn't be even close to it
a reese bass with a synth layer has an Lfo to cutoff but I couldn't just get close by doing this
this is my try https://youtu.be/y6EXIGYJywQ
this is the track the lead starts at 00:15 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvDogoFw4B8

OK this is not the most Reesy bass in the world as I just threw it together in Synth1.
The sound needs to be monophonic with a little glide.
the higher notes should be a little quieter that the long low bass notes which I didn't do.
But once you have a good reese the rest is simple.

also do you have any advice on how can I catch the notes from any song ?
I thought this track was three notes G# E and C# with LFO to the cutoff frequency openning and closing which give this wavy sound but when I saw the video I discovered new notes , how can I be good at knowing which notes are playing ?

I'm just as bad as you hahaha
I mostly cheat by using SPAN and hovering over the notes. For really low notes if you know it's a saw I hover over the 2nd partial/harmonic cause it will be the same as the fundamental just one octave up.
With square/triangle it's a little different.
In this one I do think I did some notes by ear but I recently remade something and I went back and forth for weeks about what the right notes were

I used span and I could detect the notes on the waveform but I see that every part of that wave form is changing with changing of notes not only the first or second part
the first part is the lowest note playing but what about the others that are changing?
if you can recommend a video about this I will be thankful

This is pretty much what I did yesterday. It is trial and error.
I actually forgot which notes they were so this is a fresh start.

Hey Choos, would you be willing to sell the MIDI file for the tel aviv lead? I think this song defines the genre and I would love to learn more about it. I'm just starting out producing hardwave myself.CHOOS wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 5:12 pm This is pretty much what I did yesterday. It is trial and error.

Dude!
I'm not gonna charge you for a simple midi file hahahaha
I'll have a look again because I didn't save it or anything.
Is it just the lead sound?
By the way you can see all the notes in the 2nd video I posted in this thread (the one thats 9:28s long)
