Genius! Thanks a lot. :tu: In fact, I wanted to do the same and tried it too, but it did not show up on first attempt. But after seeing a pleasant dark skin, I was content. I was also sleepy. :)

I will try out your suggestions today evening. Did you do anything specific for the 3rd option to appear in the list?
Hi, what do you mean by the third option?
It seems it needs two files with the theme name in it, the one you altered and a .skin which has to have the _themename in it (this file only needs altering in its name.

Hi, I mean 3 options in theme selection instead of the default 2 (Default and TremorLight).

I will try to do it again as you mentioned and see if I can make the 3rd theme visible for use.

I made the two for cypher2, the two for strobe 2,with a short readme (and credit to you) and zipped it up.
Change the rsp part (required for two files in strobe 2 and two files in cypher 2) to whatever you want your theme to appear as and put in the respective Resources folders.
It of course needs the _ before the theme name so don't remove that part.

Will keep it up for a few days if anyone wants it.

Of course use at your own risk.

No. Thank you for doing it in the first place.
It is to me much nicer than the factory one.

Exactly. And I am surprised to see that the theme on the website looks like what we have know - dark greyish. Wonder why they changed it.

At some point I may have known. If I did, I completely forgot :)

Strobe2 is now at V. 2.6.1.7. Anyone knows the change log from V. 2.5.1.2?

Anyone know, how it's going on with Strobe/Cypher?

Can we expect maintenance updates from Roli/FXpansion in the future?

Good question.. I just took them out of my essential vst's template last night.

Greetings fellow Strobe heads.

So Synth Squad is acting up, I'm on windows 10 and I'm wondering a couple things. Is there any strategy that might help the Synth Squad synths from crashing. I've been experimenting with different settings, and have figured out if I quit rather than close Studio One after a save, I can usually get away w/out a crash. But if I'm going to make an honest go at making tracks w/ Strobe I'd rather not roll the dice on losing a bunch of work. Worse case, I'll make a ton of diff. and frequent saves.

My other question is for those who have exp. with both Strobe synth squad version and Strobe 2 that may have been unstable for them as well, Basically wondering if Strobe 2 is at all improved stability wise. I'll dl the demo but I seem to recall w/ FXpansion it being an ordeal when you have the demo then buy the full version it's an issue. So thought I'd canvas kvr where many posters are considerably better in the technicalities than I when it comes to things like this.

Oh, one last thing; does Strobe 2 sound reasonably similar/ as good as the original Strobe? I like the og gui better, but if it sounds good still no biggie there, plus the prospect of a fresh new batch of presets to click through is appealing. Esp. w/ such a good sounding synth like Strobe.

Alright thanks, would love any suggestions. Too bad Amber 2 never got rolled out. I wish I would've grabbed Cypher at a good price back when I could've upgraded to it on sale from Synth Squad, but I digress.

Fair questions nusound mind, if overly verbose.

So the answers are, after cruising through some presets is that yes, it still has that rich, magic Strobe sound and (fingers crossed) is also thus far perfectly stable.

I recommend anyone who has this kicking around to give it a(nother?) chance if you haven't in awhile. At 8xOS with some of the fx taken off (mainly verb and eq's) it sounds great at low cpu cost. To me it hangs w/ some of the other latest/greatest sofsynths. Very glad I picked it up.
