Why is Cubasis the best mobile DAW APP

If I were poor, raising kids, etc., I'd think about that more obviously. However, something like the Apple pencil is a trivial purchase for me.

I can also afford to buy anything I like but I also feel it prudent to be able to justify any expense. After all, in the last decade I've owned 9 different laptops but I do see that for the vulgar indulgence it is and I have vowed to keep my current one for at least three years. I've also decided to stop buying cars all the time because, whilst I can afford a new car every couple of years, it's another mindless indulgence that is ultimately hard to justify.

Regarding cables, you are really reaching there. Most of my hardware synths require 2 1/4" to 1/4" mono cables. For the iPad, I had to dig around in a box of various cables to find an 1/8" stereo to 2 1/4" mono adapter for the headphones out. Took all of a few minutes to remember where it was. Yeah, that is really crazy...

My bad, I thought they ditched the headphone jack when iPhone did? And I assume when you say "Airdrop", you are simply speaking about using a wi-fi network that Apple feel the need to give a fancy name to so people think it's something "magical".

Ouch! One thing is GAS, another is CAS. I know of someone who is addicted to that too, and it ain't cheap. Godspeed dealing with that, Bones.

I've bought one car in the past 20 years. I've purchased a fair bit of camera gear, and I love using a good well made lens, but I have put that gear to do a tremendous amount of work. Hardware synths are something of an indulgence.

Computers I don't care about. They are just tools. I've used Apple for years. Each time I have purchased a Macbook Pro it has lasted my for 7 years average (at which point I gave them away still working) and in each case has been trouble free and I simply never have to think about it. Each of them paid for itself many times over and never got in the way. In that regard I am a satisfied customer.

I have the larger 2018 iPad Pro. It has the headphones out. The 2020 iPad Pro lost the headphones jack. An annoying choice by Apple, but not one I need to concern myself with at the moment.

And yes, the fancy name is Apple marketing, but Airdrop works well and is useful. Same with Universal Clipboard.

Each time I have purchased a Macbook Pro it has lasted my for 7 years average (at which point I gave them away still working) and in each case has been trouble free and I simply never have to think about it. Each of them paid for itself many times over and never got in the way. In that regard I am a satisfied customer.

That's exactly my point. I can say the same things about each and every one of my laptops, too. The difference is that I still make the effort to (hopefully) ensure that I make the best decision each and every time, where you simply perpetuate a decision you made 20 or more years ago. I can't think of a single area of my life where I'm prepared to just roll over a decision like that. I'd hate to think my life had stagnated like that. Even simple, mundane things like groceries or the best route for driving/cycling/walking to work are things I regularly review. It's just as I said, you are exactly the kind of unquestioning customer Apple would love.

I'd guess you are right that Apple is happy with me as a customer. And I'm happy as a customer. Works out well all around.

The iPad Pro is a useful tool for me and there is creative software available for iOS that is not available elsewhere.
