Kushview Element seems is similar to Bidule.
Not sure if there would be any advantage to use Unify inside Bidule.
For me likely Unify will replace Bidule.

Somewhere earlier it was said that there will be an editable modular view, similar to Bidule in Unify or Unify Pro.

I had completely forgotten about Azor Ahai, the Pro that was promised. Any news on that, powers-that-be?

Short answer: No.

I'm the power (singular) that is. I have two hands, one (somewhat functional) brain, and 24 hours in each day, at least some of which I must spend sleeping and taking care of other responsibilities. I have succeeded in convincing my partner to stop mentioning (which somehow becomes "promising") vague ideas about future products.

I'm totally cool with that and tbh would be even happier if there's just one Unify so I can eventually accrue extra nice things without a huge upgrade cost. Though you may decide that there will be a 1.x to 2.x cost at some point. Having a Unify standard and pro kind of devalues the word 'Unify' anyway to an extent.

Good luck with herding the bag full of cats that is Skippy ;-)

HAHA, yes! Never a dull moment, but I love him dearly, and wouldn't change him for the world.

Updated to latest version and having some audio issues with Kontact might be similar to the problems I was having previously with Xenoverb it's with truncated audio

Load up Kontact in Unify load up Palette Primary Colours and it doesn't sound right at all the release is completely truncated there is no release really

Load up same - Kontact direct in Cubase and you get the release tail you'd expect

Then if you press record in Cubase with Kontact in Unify - you get some of the tail but its all lagged and all over the place

I'm wondering if similar to weird issues I was also getting with Xenoverb

Can anyone else check see if they get the same please ? I've checked all assigns disabled etc

Unify and Kontact - Palette Primary Colours - please excuse my hand-held video - first is in Unify then Cubase direct

Unify and Xenoverb - first Xenoverb VST3 version - as soon as press next key the previous note/reverb tail cut off, then switch to Xenoverb VST in Unify and sounds fine

wondering if this and the Kontact video above are related ?

@Buckster
Please try switching Unify's Transport to any trigger mode other than "MIDI/Quick Stop". Some plug-ins (notably Serum, by default) instantly cut off reverb tails when the host transport stops.

thankyou for taking time to reply, as always fantastic support - I only had a quick chance to try but changing the transport trigger mode seems to have fixed both Xenoverb and Kontact sounding oddly curtailed :) :)

It was odd only effected the VST3 version of Xenoverb

Thanks again and much appreciated

FAO Shane/Skippy - none of the patches in the TetraSonics library that use samples like the ESQ1 are playing anything for me (e.g. zSynth - ESQ1 Bottles JL), should there have been samples included as a separate download or within the .omnisphere or .guru file that weren't there? I did think the installer file was remarkably small, so maybe that's why although wavetable files can be tiny.

Just noticed I got a dialog box
Notice

Cannot load Soundsource "ESQ1 Bottles C3" in Directory "User". Try refreshing index in Browser.
I've tried refreshing both Omnisphere's Patch and Multi libraries using All and the specific library and I'm still having the issue.

Also not a big thing, but just letting you know the purchase confirmation text and email sent out for TetraSonics mentions the Cloud City library. The download link for TetraSonics is named and works correctly though.

Some lovely stuff in there, I always like bass arps/sequences and the Ratus Reducio and Robohunter patches are exactly the sort of thing I'm hopeless at thinking up, but are nicely tweakable to my own ends later.

Thank you for bringing these to my attention. We're already aware of the missing-samples issue, and there will be an update for TetraSonics in about a week which should fix this.

Updates for TetraSonics and Cloud City V1 are now available at https://www.pluginguru.com.

Re TetraSonics it seems to me that the .omnisphere Omnisphere file has exactly the same 15th July 07:30 timestamp as the last upload at least in the Windows zip file.

Edit: ok so just watching the PiG livestream and it seems the change in TetraSonics Unify .guru file will mean the Omnisphere error disappears and the patches play so I’ll check it out later.

OK, so finally had a chance to check again and the TetraSonics update seems to have done the trick despite the omnisphere timestamp being the same. I guess all the samples must have been in Unify.
The Cloud City update is mint btw.

One thing I noticed I was having an issue with and I haven't seen it before, but it may just be the way Unify has worked forever.

1. INIT session
2. select something BPM style (i.e loopable) in the browser and right click to choose the Load Into New Unify Layer option.
3. Select Mono Latch, click on the L to activate the latching
4. Press a key like C3, should hear the sound looping
5. Now while that's looping go through steps 2 to 5 on a new layer to add a new BPM style Unify instrument.
As soon as I click on the new Unify instrument's IN button to select mono latch for that layer it kills the loop the previous instrument was doing even though the earlier instrument still shows it's in latched state with a lit up L.

Same thing even happens if I pre-define the first instrument to use a specific MIDI layer - everything stops playing when I click on a 'IN' instrument button.

Is there any way to keep the latched loop going while I bring the new layer in and select a latch for that one? Key combo to add mono latch quickly to a track?
I thought I'd seen John L doing that successfully in YouTube vids, but I can't get it to work.
Hope that makes sense.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro x64 if that makes any difference.

Oh and ask number 2 - I find I use the same ranges all the time for the majority of my splits, up to B2 for basses and drum loops and C3 and above for everything else. I'd really like it if we could pre-create a number of key ranges for splits in the global settings and select them via some tiny dropdown / other quick selection method and have the note start and note end options there for when you choose to use a 'custom' range.

Ask number 3 - the moon on a stick. ;-)
