So I hope we can now all agree that there's no silent K in Knifonium :P

Do you mean 'canny' or 'cannae' ?

Or Kanye?

KvR never ceases to amaze me. Just summing up: people start arguing about how to "properly" pronounce the product name of a plugin by a company with a German boss, based on a hardware from a Finnish developer, in a predominantly English speaking forum, but with people from all of the planet. Then people start ad hominem attacks, there are some "cultural dominance" and nationalist undertones here and there, then there are public accusations of nasty PMs and harassment, then it seems somebody took over somebody else's account to let us know that a female user had a breakdown because of being bullied, than it seems that the last level of escalation was probably just made up by the person that started the escalation, then that one user is banned. Wow... all of this because of somebody asked the question whether or not to pronounce the K in Knifonium? That really escalated quickly...

Can we go back to discussing the actual synth, then?

EDIT: edited "finish" to "finnish" thanks to some friendly typo checkers.

I don't think it's anywhere near that complicated.

Vertion raised the pronunciation issue based on a Pluginguru video in a ploy that's straight out of Troll 101.

I don't recall anyone else being bothered about the actual pronunciation before or after.

Apart from that it's "Finnish", not "Finish". To complete the cycle. :ud:

Also how the first "i" should be pronounced?
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Hehe, I am German, I always make that mistake. Let me fix this for you (hastily edits previous mail). :-) Now back to K/nifonium, or whatever it is.

Just to be contrarian, I'm going to stop pronouncing the K again.

could get tricy if you remove it completely from your vocabulary.
imagine you are strolling along the street, a man is coming toward you.
above, a piano falls...

you shout "loo out"

he wont have a clue how to react?
sounds almost hawaiian, he might start hula-ing.
