You can't. The search systems are completely broken and useless. There are a million other normal use cases which should work but don't. Apparently, the team is aware and are going to make changes.outerspacecat wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 11:23 am Can someone tell me how I can really do the simplest search task in Loopcloud and find the following sample (from my own added library):
Simplified example:
Techno Sample Pack / One Shots / Kicks / kick001.wav
I just want to type "techno kick" to find this sample.
Boolean search doesn't seem to work as described somewhere in this thread. And of course I don't want to tag several terabytes of samples despite the fact that all necessary information is written into the name and path/folders of the samples itself.
I can easily search this way in Cubase, Reaper and Bitwig. In Logic I can at least search single words and find not only samples but folders.

I see. So it's still primarily a marketing tool to sell sample packs but pretty much useless for your (own) sample library management. Also no MIDI preview despite the fact that Studio One, Bitwig, Reaper, Live or Cubase already can preview MIDI files in their own browsers.
So my honest question is, who uses Loopcloud then, if the majority of DAWs offers about the same or even better search and sample management options?
I guess it's simply for those who don't have a sample library at all and want to download samples right on the fly?

Loopclouds connectivity with the DAW makes it's a bit of a game changer for me, I'm been using it more and more. I am aware that we can save specific sounds/loops as favourites, but does loopcloud have the facility to save favourite sample packs?

Loopcloud isn't meant for searching kicks, I got Atlas for that, but it searches samples by key and tempo quite fine for me and is like nothing else. It has literally been a game changer for my work flow, I can preview all my loops in key and bpm of my track connected to my DAW and hit a quite preset to even chop it up in an assortment of ways. Things like taking a vocal chop and hitting a percussion preset have been amazing revelations.

For the right track it's pretty incredible. One thing that's tricky with is are samples that require refining before being used. Imagine a loop with some dead air before the loop starts - loopcloud doesn't handle it correctly when you try to use the presets on it, I wish there was a way to non-destructively trim in app so that the presets would work.

I've started to get non stop crashing. I wonder if it can only handle a certain number of user samples.

Loopmasters is one of the best available sample resources and I bought much samples from them over the years, but that Loopcloud thing is nothing for me. Of course it's cheaper, instead of buying the full packs, but I'm still buying the full packs and sort them manually like I need for my DAW browser, because I can use them much more flexible ..

Hey @loopcloud reps, please allow us to show sample pack cover artwork in our library. There's not much in life as uninspiring to look at than a huge long list of blue folders.

Hi guys hopefully someone can help. I have just subscribed to LC5 and it keeps crashing when trying to analyse my sample folder. Im literally on my month trial and if it does work i will be unsubscribing and deleting then looking for alternatives. Just updated to version 5.2.22.

I just installed the update to Loopcloud 6.12 and they have taken away the ability to add your own samples unless you are on a subscription. It really is worthless to me now, unless I can track down an older version before the limitation. Anyone know when the switch was made? Their own tutorial that is still on YT said it worked as of 6.0

Dealbreaker for me. Just uninstalled it. I thought about emailing them to let them know they lost a customer, but don't think they really care.BluesMuse wrote: ↑Tue Aug 24, 2021 4:56 pm I just installed the update to Loopcloud 6.12 and they have taken away the ability to add your own samples unless you are on a subscription.
