Ups, my bad. Corrected.WasteLand wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 3:11 pm i thought the latest additve oscillator, and i saw, yes the image oscillator. great oscillator. you describe the possibilies well, it is more than just image gimmick. much more. i am experimenting with it.
graphic waveshaper! yes! weevil of course and yes wavetable.

Bought the Image osc but the image doesn't change when I select a different one from the dropdownGone soft wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 2:48 pmCheck out Weevil modules. Wavetable, Graphic waveshaper and the latest Image oscillator (the latter on sale for half the price still I think) has plenty of potential for experimentation. The Image osc loads just about any pic for additive resynthesis and offers plenty of interesting modulation and osc fx including wavefolding and a bunch of FM varieties and clipping weighted by color (!). Several flavours of sync (soft, bump etc) that can also be weighted by color of image, quite unique for additive synthesis. Also very responsive dev who will make sure everything works as it should and keep things stable if needed.aMUSEd wrote: Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:59 pm What other good modules are worth getting? (experimental oriented)
Also there's plenty of interesting stuff in the Benard bundles.

Strange, works for me. Also try dropping an image of your own into the image area. Make sure appropriate ins and outs are connected, visually I've noticed it doesn't update until outputs are connected.aMUSEd wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 10:39 pm Bought the Image osc but the image doesn't change when I select a different one from the dropdown

Quite different beasts, I see the Imagillator as more of a basic wavetable oscillator that only generates wavetables from images and refuses to load anything else as wavetable files. It has a few tricks in the form of osc fx derivative of Serum and little in the way of original functionality that isn't highly dervative of a fraction of what Serum can do. Sorry if I'm coming of as negative here, that is just how I actually feel about it. I did purchase it, and ultimately got tired of it and prefered the Weevil Wt osc with some more exotic functionality. Offcourse Imagillator will provide lots of fun for someone not too familiar with Serum, or content to have a little fraction of Serums functionality available within a modular framework with no polyphony.VariKusBrainZ wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 11:33 pm Came out a few months before Image Oscillator

For experimental goodness I'd certainly reccomend one or more of the Benard bundles if you can afford them, check out the latest Mega bundle for instance: https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/mega-bundle-vol-3 - a bit to invest but I know I've kept using and reusing the Benard modules so so much since I first invested in them.
The Bifurcations module is a sort of sample and hold plus shift register with 29 scalable outputs with varying degrees of probability of changing or not with each trigger. It's quite an interesting design: https://store.cherryaudio.com/Utility/bifurcations
The third mega bundle includes quie a few chaos modules, attractors etc with different flavours.
The Glacial Glides in mono and poly versions are sweet, glides (or slew if you like) from no time at all up to 24 hours with a trigger out once the glide has reached the end given input of the right nature.
There's a "Random Change Sequencer" where you can sequence probabilities and degrees of random change to an incoming signal (it also works without an input as a source of sequenced varying probabilities of random CV), with trigger inputs seperately for trigger probability and degree of randomness to either randomize or set to zero or full or half instantly by a trigger to the appropriate input. https://store.cherryaudio.com/Processor ... -sequencer
There's offcourse plenty more too, a seeded random for one.

i think many (??) modules don't work when output (or input, or something else, or a part, so many modules..) isn't connected. for the cpu..aMUSEd wrote: Thu Jun 25, 2020 7:25 amAh that's what it is - was just testing it and hadn't connected it yetGone soft wrote: Wed Jun 24, 2020 10:53 pmStrange, works for me. Friends,

Cherry Audio is thrilled to release our new FM Bundle ($19 for a limited time) for Voltage Modular! FM Bundle includes FM Station and Poly FM Station, both powerful four-operator FM oscillators that precisely recreate the punchy, crystalline tones of classic DX-series FM synths of the 80s.
These modules include an innovate graphic interface that makes FM programming incredibly easy - really! Also included are mono and poly editions of EG Station, graphic envelope generator modules featuring eight fully independent envelope generators with velocity CV inputs, and super fast and easy normalled connections.
Take an in-depth look into the ideas behind FM synthesis, as well as the capabilities of the new FM Bundle, by diving into Mitchell Sigman's new FM Station overview video:
A free 7-day trial of FM Bundle is available at https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/fm-bundle.
MRB Syrup Bundle Released

MRB has just released their new Syrup Bundle ($20), an intense, detailed model of the Mutable Instrument's Ripples hardware filter, with more features and versatility than you'll find on the original. Syrup provides 9 simultaneous filter outputs, and mixing these in various combinations (or panning them in stereo) can yield amazing, unique timbres and stereo images. The included VCA3080 modules provide a faithful circuit emulation of the VCA found on the Ripples hardware modules.
To hear audio demos, try a free demo, or to purchase the Syrup Bundle, visit https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/syrup-bundle.
Voltage Modular 2.0.25 Released
We've released a new update to Voltage Modular, version 2.0.25, which includes a number of minor bug mixes, as well as an important fix for users experiencing problems using polyphonic MIDI-generating modules in the Plug-In Host modules. The new update is available for immediately downloading at https://cherryaudio.com/voltage-modular/download.

The FM Bundle looks & sounds amazing.
The "in-depth look" (overview) video, is one of the best demonstrations of FM synthesis, and how it all works.. I've ever seen.
Really nice addition to the VM line-up you guys.

I can highly recommend the syrup filter as well, sounds great and very versatile (I had the chance to put it through its paces on the beta). I think this will now be my ‘go to’ filter in VA.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!
