I'm lost , whats the difference between Intro and Lite, I now have both and I am struggling to see any difference apart from the install size, which would suggest more factory sounds shipped with Intro.
Also, where are the VST's installed ? Because I cannot find them to check which one I am using, I only have one Rack option in Cubase.
Very confusing from RS.

Reason Intro has a lot more devices than Lite: https://help.reasonstudios.com/hc/en-us ... 11-2-Lite-
Regarding your question about VST's: I don't understand. You can configure the folders Reason searches for VST's, just like in any other host. The Reason rack plugin can't host VST's, if that was your question.

No, I meant where the reason rack VST was installed, but I found it in the VST3 folder, and I can't see 2 , so I assume its the same for lite and intro. I was hoping it would be more stable than intro, as intro is very unstable as a plugin.chk071 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 11:11 am Reason Intro has a lot more devices than Lite: https://help.reasonstudios.com/hc/en-us ... 11-2-Lite-

If you install the 11.2.1 version instead of 11.3.1 of Lite you get the same instruments and effects as Intro but no rack plugin feature and only 8 tracks against 16 in Intro.

No it was always a VST3, I just had missed it in the folder. But now I found it. And it's very unstable in Cubase 10.5 , keeps causing Cubase 10.5 to hang, and Reason Support has been useless.WasteLand wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 12:29 pmdo yoy mean VST2, there is no VST2 version of reason plugin rack.LeVzi wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 11:22 amNo, I meant where the reason rack VST was installed, but I found it in the VST3 folder, and I can't see 2 , so I assume its the same for lite and intro. ok, i read it wrong. no stability issues in 10.5.2, there was in the release notes something about the RRP, in the release notes in in cubase pro 10.5.20. so it seems more a problem of cubase, but i works unproblematic in my case. but so many factors...LeVzi wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 1:12 pmNo it was always a VST3, I just had missed it in the folder. Well, I'm really happy I got Reason Lite.. never got around to demo Reason and this was a great little almost-freebie for a few interesting devices and the Reason routing capabilities.
.. but holy shit things are TINY on the screen. I already knew this (having been a Reason user in the past) but this just reminded me of how tiny all the graphics are. It's bordering on unusable for me and my slowly but surely deteriorating eye sight.
Really hope Propellerheads are on top of this for the next major update.

Hi antic604. Long time no speak! I hope all is well with you.antic604 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 3:54 pm I didn't know where to post it, because it's both instrument, audio & MIDI FX. It isn't a DAW though, because Reason itself seems to be absent from it:

Why is this happening? My take on it is that Verdane - who bought Props in 2017 - saw the opportunity and got convinced when they saw the RE tech. It's been clear for 2+ years now that they're working hard on easy / automated porting of VSTs to & from REs (case in point for both: Europa and lately Autotune) and their plan is to build a centralised marketplace for VSTs or VSTs in RE format. The idea works something like this as a pitch to developers:
The above sadly does mean Reason DAW might take a 2nd or 3rd seat in Reason Studios' products portfolio, which I guess is something to be worried about if you're a user/fan
- come to us with your VST - we'll help you converting it to RE
- sell your 'new' RE in out shop - we'll take care of files hosting, anti-piracy measures, promotion, patches & updates process, unified login & passwords for users
- we already have rent-to-own and subscription mechanisms in our marketplace, so you can take advantage of those, too
- because your plugin is now an RE, it can be used - via Reason Rack plugin - in any DAW supporting VST, AU or AAX and - in near future - probably also in the web, in AU (iOS plugins) or in hardware, as was shown during that Juce presentation last year
- we'll make Reason Rack plugin FREE eventually, because we'll take a small fee from every sale (rent/subscription) of your RE, thus making it more widely available to people NOT having to have Reason DAW
I think you may be able to help me. I installed this Reason Lite, and using it within Biwig. I have Reason Drum Sequencer player, and i had no problem using it in Bitwig to communicate a second instrument Battery. But i couldn't get Matrix to communicate with a second instrument track like i had Drum Sequencer. Does it simply not work which is what i think/expect?

You need to add a MIDI Out device as decribed here, at 3:02:

TBH, I find the Matrix kind of lacklustre (it's much easier to use the step sequencer in Studio One), but, to each his own.

I'm at work so can't really verify this, but Reason Drum Sequencer is a Player, which means it will generate MIDI and pass it on further down the chain "wirelessly", whereas Matrix is a regular Rack device, so you need to take the cables on the back and connect its CV & Gate Outs with respective sockets on the synth's back in Reason Rack Plugin or to a MIDI Out device if you want Bitwig to receive it outside of Reason Rack Plugin.Spring Goose wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 11:32 amI have Reason Drum Sequencer player, and i had no problem using it in Bitwig to communicate a second instrument Battery.
